It’s good but there are too many small things that end up being huge. Like he recruits wargs and such and then creates Wyverns for them even though they are practically dragons lol and most areas don’t have a lot of magic but for some reason the MC decides to never learn to use a sword or fight lol makes no sense to me. That’s why i have it a 2.6/5 instead of full 5/5.... too many problems

LIKEThat's not true at all. The idea of "wyverns" having their wings connected to their forelegs and "dragons" having wings on their back (essentially 6 limbs) is a concept entirely made up by a certain part of the fantasy community. Dragon has historically been used for both types, and calling the 4-limbed version a dragon is certainly not incorrect. There is also a very clear distinction between dragons and wyverns in ASOIAF.
My an idiot what? The word dragon has been used throughout history and mythology for limbless, 4 limbs and 6 limbs, and is usually associated with a reptilian fire spewing monster. A wyvern is generally a 4-limbed beast and it rarely has the ability to breathe fire. This is all consistent with what is going on in ASOIAF. GRRM made the choice to not have 6-limbed dragons as the skeletal setup made no sense for how our life has evolved. While some of the earliest records of dragons are from China, this doesn't mean it originated there and was spread. It's believed that it most likely developed independently, and based on dinosaur bones, various animal sightings and general fantastical storytelling. The whole point is: he is not wrong for calling a four-limbed dragon a dragon. It's not like a crocodile and alligator at all, as they are actual, living things we can classify, whereas the word "dragon" has been used for all kinds of variations through time, and are entirely fictional. The idea that a 4-legged one is a wyvern and 6-legged is a dragon came later, and is not fact. You're not wrong for calling a 4-legged dragon a wyvern, but you're also not wrong for calling it a dragon; especially not if it breathes fire.
You do realize I say “practically” right? They are so similar... and crocodiles/alligators are practically the same lol I know they are different but they are similar enough that people would confuse them so your an idiot
Eh.. he was just suddenly "given" sword fighting abilities(+ridiculous strength) rather than really learning it. Most likely done because readers were complaining about it rather than because it was planned out and built up. Normally a person would start young and learn it gradually, but the writer just kind of forced it in when he got older without any prep. The review's issues are definitely valid, and was likely part of the reason why things were changed in the first place.
Chinese dragons have legs look at mushu for example he is a Chinese dragon
dont just google something and come to a conclusion in 5 minutes, do a little research on anything. it will save you from public embarrassment or save your life someday
