🤨🤨 1) he never been to school before so obviously his what grade he in would be kind of messed up and 2) “grade 3” does not mean third grade in this case, if you looked it up you would know that it can mean different things in different countries…grade 3 and 3rd grade don’t always mean the same thing, you’re confused cause the author never specified what country’s classification he’s using, like if he was using the classification for Japan, which is also possible since he referenced anime a good amount of time then grade 3 would be equivalent to the 9th grade and since he’s going to school with the 18 years old brother that’s probably what grade he’s in
