I honestly could not stop reading this book. The romance is so pure and genuine and I love the fact that the author slowly pulls the readers in each character’s story development and growth with the right pace.

Sigh. That was so satisfying. 😩 I’ve been a fan of Author Sora since I’ve read her first novel, Flower Bloom on the Battlefield. I must say, I always feel very satisfied, although I do want some epiloguee with little Feng Mian or Little Zhang Liang 🤣 Anyway, I really love Feng Mian’s character. She’s strong. Very decisive. She knows what she wants. She’s very rational. She may look weak but she can also be fierce if you cross her bottomline. Her character is very likable. Zhang Mian’s character, although he’s cold, he’s also very decisive. I must say that Feng Mian and him is really a match. It’s like Feng Mian is a female version of Zhang Liang without the rich trainings 😂 That’s how sync they are. The family was very lovable. I enjoyed every interaction and every banter. The story was very very light, which I really really love. There were totally no misunderstandings, there were no scheming family members. No drama, no angst. Seriously, it was that light, and I love it. The couple were so honest with each other, they were so rational with their relationship and they were also very decisive. They were always considerate of one another. It was a very harmonous relationship. There was also no draggy scenes, there was no prolonged conflicts. Everything was just so perfect for me. Knowing that this is the first time that Author Sorahana wrote a fully centered romance novel, I’d say it was very very successful. If I didn’t know, I’d never even thought that it was her first time. I’m so sad that I have to say goodbye to both Zhang Liang and Feng Mian. I always look forward to their interactions. They were so adorable. Anyway, overall, if I could rate this novel more than 5 stars, I’d do it. It was that good. And I’d just want to say again:

Wew, romance novel from Sorahana! What to expect? 1) The MC is so relatable. I'm not an artist like her but reading about her struggling with managing her time, whether you're a worker or a student, is something I think everyone does. She goes through waking up late, catching up on a deadline, waiting for feedback... I like how I can empathize with her. 2) I like how the ML isn't overhyped? I do hear about his reputation, rumors about him and gossip... but the writing hardly dwells on that? Instead of telling me these things over and over again, the book lets me get to know him as his own character. Those things were just stated because they exist but they don't try to convince that these are his qualities. (Even though the ML says they're all true lol.) 3) The romance is pacing steadily. There are moments where you'd expect fluff--those situations where the FL and ML are forced/given the chance to bond intimately but... they react in a realistic way. For some of these situations, I am not sure if the ML is doing some things on purpose when it might not be necessary since it's an arrangement... but knowing about his family's tradition made me wonder if he'd rather have this marriage last instead of having them intervene. I don't know about this theory but it made the story more intriguing for me! 4) I think the side characters cover a range of personalities and types of people you can meet--especially in an office setting. I look forward to seeing more of them in the future. Other than one annoying pest, I don't think I've met the antagonist yet or if there is one because the "NO MISUNDERSTANDING" tag reassures me that if there is conflict, it ain't something like that. Another good point in my favor! 5) Right now, ML's decision is giving more time to get to know the FL and her as a person. I love how she adapts according to circumstances. She panics but also relaxes quickly and faces them head on. The pair don't always meet eye to eye but there is no bad blood. I haven't seen them thoroughly annoyed or mad at each other. They take everything in with a reasonable mind. They're basically what adults should be or, at least, trying to be. In conclusion, if you're looking for a light hearted, no mess but thrown in crazy situations, and absence of misunderstandings, give this novel a chance!

So when he meets the cute and naive Lucinda Perry at the club, he decides to keep his true identity from her and find out if she was worth keeping. ***Excerpt*** What is more entertaining than a crazy side character? Say hello to Sonia and Bryan. Sonia's heart stopped beating for a second, and then different thoughts started flying right through her head at that same time. Bryan Hank? Her celebrity crush was kneeling right in front of her and asking her to be his wife? Was he mistaking her for someone? Was it possible this was a skit, or maybe this was like one of those celebrity pranks, and there were cameras around, waiting to capture her make a fool of herself? Or perhaps she was dreaming? Sonia wondered as she looked around them, but all she saw were curious onlookers. "Please! Be my wife and make me the happiest man on Earth," He said in a very loud voice that caught the attention of everyone. Her editor who she had been waiting on for over an hour because he was trying to sign a deal with a movie producer who was interested in one of her stories, showed up at that moment, "Sonia, you know Bryan Hank?" Her editor asked in genuine surprise as he watched the scene before him. It seemed like an hour had passed since Bryan went on his knees, but it had only been a minute. Bryan knew no lady would be crazy enough to accept such a crazy proposal, and even if any were, paying her off and calling off the whole thing would be easy since all he wanted was the scandal that could come from this. The headlines were either going to be about his rejected Marriage proposal or his supposed engagement, which would be enough to let Sophia off the hook. "Yes!" Sonia said as she bobbed her head excitedly and extended her finger for him to wear her the ring. "Yes?" Bryan asked in confusion when he heard her response. "Yes! I will be your wife and make you the happiest man in the world!" Sonia said with a giggle and wiggled her fingers until Bryan slid the ring down her finger. Surprisingly the ring was her exact size, and it sat on her finger like it was made just for her. The sound of applause erupted all around them as Sonia stood up with a big smile on her face and embraced Bryan before kissing him right on the lips. Bryan was slightly taken aback by her boldness but quickly recovered since this was his game, and he had to play along. He was the one who had approached her first, after all. So when she tried to break the kiss, he held her chin and slowly nibbled on her lower lip before parting her lips with his tongue and sucked on it in a teasing manner, eliciting a moan from Sonia. Sonia felt light-headed. This was too good to be true. It just had to be a dream. How else could she explain that one moment she was seated at the lobby of a hotel waiting for her editor, and the next she was engaged to her celebrity crush and was kissing him right here in the open? Devilish secretary

After centuries of ruling the underworld with terrifying power, Lilith dies in an epic battle, only to be reborn in the human world. But instead of a grand rebirth as a queen of darkness, she's reincarnated as something far more mundane—a secretary. Rather than despair, Lilith finds this new life amusing. After all, who would suspect the devil herself to be working a 9-to-5? Settling into her new reality, Lilith embraces her role, living in a luxurious apartment and working diligently in her office. Though her devilish instincts are hard to suppress, she's determined to be the perfect secretary. But when people push her too far, the devil within still comes out to play. When a creep in the office dares to look at her the wrong way, she calmly fixes her gaze on him. "You keep staring like that, and I'll show you what a broken wrist feels like." The man quickly scurries away, leaving Lilith with a satisfied smirk. Even the rich, entitled girl from accounting isn't safe from her wrath. "You think you can push me around just because you've got money? I've burned entire kingdoms for less. Don't test me." She says this with a calm smile, her eyes glinting dangerously. The day continued like that—stopping creeps in their tracks, putting rude heiresses in their place, and being the flawless secretary she intended to be. But, of course, her boss—the CEO—had his eyes on her, more curious than ever. And while the entire office might fear her or wonder about her, she remained blissfully indifferent. This was fun. And she wasn't here to impress anyone but herself. Who knew being a secretary could be so... interesting?
