Translation quality takes a huge dive after chapter 300, don't waste your time reading. The story itself is alright, but the chapters are super short and everything takes forever to happen. The ML is the typical super-strong iceberg guy, but with the addition of being needlessly cruel. Basically, he makes a terrible first impression and I think a reader would be pretty justified in hating him. After 100s of chapters, his relationship with the FL gets *a little* better, but not much, and he constantly is saying and doing things to remind you that he's a super violent, cold, generally merciless person, and he often behaves that way towards the FL - which isn't great. Anyway, by chapter 300 their relationship is still pretty terrible. The upside is that the MC becomes slightly stronger and in a slightly more equal position by then. Unfortunately, that's when the translation quality takes the aforementioned nosedive, and the story doesn't really feel worth reading anymore.

It's the same old same old plot. OP FL reborn into a useless and ugly body with her POS family who are trash asf. OP ML with an out of this world beauty who is hands off to other women except for (you've guessed it!) the FL yada yada Cue music: 🎶 Mamma Mia, here I go again My my, how can I resist you? 🎶 Naaaaaah who am kidding? I can't resist storylines like this kekeke! Especially when the antagonists discovers how our FL turned out to be an unmatched, peerless beauty with a power/skill that is beyond them. Ooooohhh the satisfaction baby! 🙈 But it's weird though because I only like this kind of plot in a historical setting. Put this in a modern setting and I seem to have an aversion to it. What kind of biased taste is this I wonder? 😅

I don't think this novel should be translated. Although I understand the ML, and from a realistic perspective, he isn't necessarily in the wrong, I still don't think he is suited to be the ML for being overly disdainful of the MC. He is also abusive and just goddamn rude. The story drags on the MC's growth in power, and every character is insufferable to the point of annoyance. I have read until chapter 100 from the raws, and I do not like the progression of the novel at all. There's conditional treatment to open the ring, the MC takes ages to recover her appearance and cultivation talent. The ML falls for her because of her recovered appearance and talent. I just find this a little unsettling. This novel isn't worth it, don't pick it.

For some reason I really don’t like the ML... He agreed to make the FL as his chess piece but he is not smart about it... All I can say is he is arrogant and too full of himself... 4 of his fiancées have died and he had no clue if it was intentional or purely coincidence... I read the whole 60 chapters to see if there is any improvement but there’s none...

The MC is strong, smart and awesome and she has a loyal and sweet servant. These 2 characters are the only redeeming things in this story. The family is opressively cruel. The ML has no redeeming qualities so far. His is a dirtbag with a rotton guard. It's just depressing and after 30 odd chapters, I have given up reading. I know she is going to become this gorgeous and brilliant character and the ML is going to see that she is a treasure and blah blah blah. But based on the first meeting with him, I dislike him and do not want her to be with him. I would rather he be a red herring and she end up with someone else. The only thing I would want to happen is for her to literally set fire to her family home so everyone dies and for the ML to die in battle and for her to go off and do whatever. There is no intrigue or anything to grab my attention. The "special" Phoenix ring has an annoying guardian that can't come out until she heals a certain amount of people. But with a bland character, no motivation to achieve that and just a general lack of interest in the ring character means it doesn't seem to matter.

So, the reason for the low rating ;- 1. Lets talk about the character design based on 30+ chapters, idk but i get the feeling that author don't really spend more time for details...its too typical and not to mention that its too predictable. Its a common pattern. 2. The translation quality is tbh below average (i mean not bad but okay but not up to standard, do you understand what i mean?)...i don't think that this translation do the story justice at all...i'm sorry translator.....but its the truth as i get the 'childish'(?) feeling from the translation(idk if its just me)...Put more effort *Fighting!* 3. The world design is like bold 'TYPICAL'....its not a new concept/theme....the same template used by Female MC's novel authors....i guess a long time reading and i get tired/bored reading this kind of repetitive concept...a constant cycle of 'assasin @ doctor @ whatever godly being u are' female MC

I just cant get pass the asshatery of the supposed male lead, there is not one redeeming factor for him that I can find in the novel so far. And from spoilers he has no time for FL until she becones pretty again?? I know CNs focus on looks to a cray extent, but this is a bit much
