I mean i agree with the demon things but, he gave a reason for going to that school. He needed an identity near a church with a historical bg. Being in that school is a convienient way to do that. I feel like ur being harsh for no reson. And i cant even agree with the LoTM claim either. There havent been gods yet. There isnt any official mainstream factions with major political powet yet. And the monstera are coming back, unlike LoTM where the mc is put into a world with magic and such, the world ia going through a resurgence. The mc never pretends to be a god, the power systems arent based on potions. Our mc doesnt even build an organization, he joined the cops! Ur claim is like saying every video game novel is a copy of the other. The translation quality is decent, the world bg is being developed, and we are learning more and more about the mc through his actions. Ur being harsh for no reason.

I can't give a comment about the LOTM rip-off claim since i haven't read LOTM yet but i for one can't agree about the cliche school arc since there was a clear reason for him to attend to that school (about how he may be in danger because of a crazy group and its crazier leader who by the way is a witch with a notorious repute among others) and arc was never circled around the high-school romance but instead the peculiarities of the people within it and the school itself. Also, don't diss on the mc's ability just because it isn't op and all. although it's uses are just like many analyze skills in numerous novel, it also gives the mc a chance to fight back and protect himself in a world that's starting to have supernatural beings popping up in droves. Unlike those unnaturally op abilities that most authors use to cover up the mc's strength, at least with this "classic analyze ability" the mc can showcase his skills

As much as I like to read this the Mc's who always go to school are always used buy the school/academy (I once read about an mc who was promoted to 5th grade of high school and had to attend the grade for 3 more years dropped that crap) and we find out the was no point of him going there, the school is not making him stronger he has to go on mission and stuff to get resources which he can get joining any mercenary guilds and more

He's at the school because there's something there that can subdue evil creatures, objects, etc. He's looking for it. Idk how all y'all missed that part of the book...

This is not strictly speaking school ark. He lives there until he solves the people who could come after him and kill him. He actually starts to skip classes and uses school only to live there as it has protection agenst evil.
