"If i can get stronger i will forsake my humanity" Interesting. Seems there is a good chance ill be dropping this LN it that continues. Forsaking humanity is no different than becoming a viscous snake and no better than bandits or many of these nobles in this and other cliche cultivation LNs. Seems this MC will fit right in with that group of scum if this way of thinking continues.

Yeah this is a LN where the MC is as evil as the other cultivators and royal clans and houses. The author wants you to care about the MC and feel sad about the MC and root for him to get away from their evil ways and enslavement. However, the author makes the MC just as evil as the rest of them and has the MC kill off innocent people just because they saw him and he doesn't want someone that comes looking for him finding these people and finding out that they saw him around.

in a world of cultivation it`s the most correct choice to behave tbh... you have to understand that our norms and morals are not quite applicable there.

It's decisions that aren't purely logical that make us human. If you want cold, ruthless logic, get an AI; they'll make every one of those choices faster, better, and more perfectly than any human ever could.

And for that you rate 3 stars good job mate ... ffs if reading the title did not give you the info to see where the novel is going I feel bad for you.

But here is the thing ... I want a story with a human that makes those decisions and see how he got there ... because if you read this story you understand it ... He did not get there by having a happy go lucky personality in a happy family ... he got there by being treated like **** by those more powerfull then him.

Can you imagine for a second, an antisocial teenager, gets reincarnated in a fantasy world with superpowers, and the first thing he knows. sorry bro you are a bastard, so yes you can cultivate, but you can't go grow too fast, or you get nailed down. You can't be too talented, especially more talented than the legitimate children, or you get nailed down. You as a son of a servant, must be a servant. Me 21st free man, lberal thinker, think f***k that, f***k you. I am a reincarnator b***c, I am special, I am unique, I am the f***ing Mc of this story, culivation? I want me some of that, superpowers give me that s***t, immortality? I must get, and anything standing in my way gets destroyed. So place yourself in the Mc's shoes, and think what would you do, knowing that if you left that witness alive, you can lose your life, the life of all those you care about, what would you do? And don't give me that morale bull****, you are in a real situation, where you risk your life by leaving a witness alive.

Sure, you can just stick to your stereotypes. In this book whole Noah doesn't any empathy.. the character is refreshening.

the real difference between noah and the nobles is that noah isn't complacent, entitled, prideful, smug and haughty or self righteous. plus he wasn't just handed anything, he had to put his life on the line and bleed for everything he gets.

Can you just stop reading then, people have their tastes and you have yours, what seem like cliche to you might not be the case for others. i see that you seem to be very fond of karmic system novel and see it as something interesting, fleshed out and all. But to me that novel is cliche, full of plot armor. the thing is i did not spam nonconstructive review just simply it does not suit my taste. If you want to leave a review please leave something useful for the Author.

There are people who wind up like that, but, at least to me, it's become a tired cliche. I've read several multi-thousand-chapter-long Xianxia with that type of lead, and most of them just don't do it for me anymore. I agree that it's cool to see how they get there. I think one of the most important things about writing that type of character is to give them the proper motivation/reason to be the way they are because no, 99.9% of people are not naturally cold-blooded killers. This is where a lot of my burnout comes from I think. To reasonably give the mc a "ruthless/robotic/hateful" type of character something really ****ty has to happen to them IE: their family getting murdered, their cultivation getting stolen, their friend getting crippled, abused, raped etc.. Point is in these worlds those types of events are commonplace. It's mostly this world view that turns me off. The world is by no means a cheery place, but neither is it nearly as ****ty as it's portrayed in a vast majority of these novels. As humans, we're sympathetic toward other humans. It's a critical part of our evolution. A dog-eat-dog world where everyone is cruel and ruthless is an interesting thought experiment, but the interest quickly wears off after so many stories with (nearly) the exact same settings and motifs. TLDR; "Cold-blooded" massively overused and cliche in Xianxia style novels. The world view of "people either grovel at my feet, want to **** me, or want to kill me" is pretty one dimensional and boring (at least to me). **: Though it's not the case with all of the MC's that fall into this category, I absolutely cannot stand hypocritical MC's. I don't care if you're a saint, or evil incarnate, just stick to you're own morals. I can't count the number of Xianxia with MC's that will persecute (and often kill) "villans" who do **** like rape women, and then turn around and start raping women just because she slighted him in some way. PPS: Apologies for the rant.

I haven't read the story yet. But if you say forsaking humanity means being in the same class as bandits or 'those' nobles then you are not right. See basically bandits and nobles become like 'that' because of "Greed" which is actually a part of human being. There is no Human without greed, even wanting familial love may sometimes be categorized as "Greed" so no~! Idk how story goes but I know forsaking humanity means something totally different.

Lacking "Humanity" and "scum", are just convenient, morally charged adjectives for people u wish to label, but dont understand nor like.

The question is the definition of humanity, this character is originating from a place where life is held in higher regard and even there he was a borderline sociopath.

the mc can forsake humanity if he have a good reason, for example in RI (reverend insanity), the mc doesn't give a ... about anyone, but his reason was because that world taugh him that strenght it's everything, u eat or can be eaten, that is how the world works (even in our world), all of this to say, forsake humanity it's right if the mc it's in that kind of enviroment, but, if not, than it goes from "justifiable" to "stupid"
