author just want to setup such an mc that has his own negative side. i actually like it. like the "LMS" Weed (mc) who was greedy for money to the point of madness, and other stupid traits. i like when characters are far from perfect. they feel alive and "fresh". are you guys not tired of those "perfect mc" ?
