I had to stop reading shortly after the 99 samsara thing. Because it was just that bad. We got nearly seventy chapters of an adorable little girl doing adorable little girl things while being somewhat OP and slowly growing up and getting into trouble, and suddenly, BAM! No character development, in one chapter the MC I came to love was gone and in her place was generic cold badass female lead #19274. Also, have a romance that completely bypasses all the troubles it should reasonably have and came out of f-in nowhere really for all that she had a stalker. I came here for cute kid cultivating to immortality, not cold badass in kid body cultivating to immortality with a side of genderflipped wife husbandry. Beyond that, the worldbuilding is nice, I can't fault your writing speed and your writing quality is pretty good, especially for this site. But that 99-lives bull****, man. Why. Y u do dis to adorablest Chun'er.

I felt practically the same, I honestly came for cute girl cultivating alongside a master and friend but suddenly everything goes into an unforeseen direction. It was written very good and the shock it gave me was not small to be honest. It killed my interest for this story, sadly. Kinda hoped for it to stay wholesome and cute

I agree, not only that but regardless of her cultivation level, she still really only has the mentality of an 8 year old... even if she is somewhat tenacious and courageous I feel it is very unrealistic that her 8 year old mind could survive the 99 samsara thing. That said, the main I stopped is because it was then revealed that Ning Shen was to be the male romance... Which is just gross, the first thing he says when he sees an 8 year old girl is "I must make her my wife" ?!?! That is a barely acceptable train of thought to have towards a grown woman. It sent me nothing but really creepy vibes... and makes me second guess my choices for reading any of the authors other works.

you had said she became a badass cold female lead #19274 and while I know this is an exaggeration to further a point but still, could you give me some recommendations of badass cold female leads? I have a very hard time finding them for whatever reason and would love some recommendations

On novelupdates, anything with Female lead/Weak to Strong or Strong from the Start, I suppose. Nearly, anyway. Or ruthless protagonist. Chinese novels tend to be pret-ty ***ist so in order to be capable of being 'strong' girls need to be cold and unfeeling and most especially uninterested in romance/*** initially, and later with anyone except the ludicrously handsome and strong male lead. North Night's work is pretty typical at least in my experience but I wouldn't say it's a genre that I consume voraciously so I might not be the best judge.

Sexist is an understatement.
