There is so many other things that he could try to achieve. Most of that godhood stuff is too out there. It’s not really relatable or entertaining if you have to wonder what the heck they are saying half the time. I remember having to go back and look up in other chapters what he learned or a rule about godhood or something just to understand a fight. It gets really tedious after a while. Maybe it’s just me, but I think cultivation’s novels have just been doing the same things over and over again. What if a guy wants to get stronger so he can cook a fish or something? That would be more interesting than having to deal with the same old cultivation plots.

Yeah, the characters could actually do more than just 'Become Immortal, Slay Gods.'

Why would a guy get stronger to just cook a fish? The same logic goes to: " i go to the gym daily in order to cook a fish off my grill/pan" what a joke of a statement lol.

Err, the reason all cultivation novels seem to follow the same path, it is explained in many of them, in the end all paths converge to the same end result. While cultivating themselves, they may pick up cooking, alchemy, tailoring, enchanting, smithing, really any number of things, however the end goal is always to get stronger by cultivating ones self. That is why almost all of the cultivation novels aim for immortality/godhood in the end, it comes with the genre itself. To give an example, its like you asked why the MC in a cooking novel cooks instead of fights, it is because he is a cook its just what he does.

The fish could be a dragon fish, and the guy could be a foodie. ........ Or maybe an extremely strong fish that's already reached godhood, but said guy still needs to cook the fish cuz it's the only thing that could save his loved ones? ........ Or maybe that particular fish ate said guy's entire family, and the guy promised to do to the fish what the fish did to his family? But hey! He couldn't just eat the fishy family raw right?? Then an intense energy slashed the head in half, as a spherical crystal hundreds of millions miles in size flew out. "How about we make this crystal a miniature realm?" Said one of the figures. "Then let's start" Answered the elderly man. ...... "I'll give the kid my Blood War Demon Axe and my Blood War Demon Armor" said a thousand meter tall red skinned giant, grinning with pride. "Hmmph, I'll gift the child every treasure I have, even my cultivation talent" a man said as he snickered and continued... A small black dot appeared on the child's palm, it absorbed all of the energy released by the godly beings and flashed with blinding colorful light. The light cleared up, the child now gone to a place far, far away, and to a time way, way back. ..... "That went well." Shibabawa said, her face pale, devoid of any color but white. She then looked at everyone, a rueful smile surfaced on her wrinkly face.. bitter but not despair. "This realm can hold for at most a week before it's destroyed."
