THAT ITS CHARACTERS, MAY BE FULLY FLESHED OUT AND INTERESTING! AND THAT THE MC MAY IN FACT FACE DIFFICULTIES AND NOT STEAMROLL THROUGH EVERY CONFLICT WITHOUT ANY TENSION! AMEN!!!

I've actually read the whole story and this has the big thumbs up from me. MC is a loner for the most part, there's no romance at all so people don't have to worry about harem. He's not power hungry and doesn't turn into a monster. First ten chapters don't really do it justice, once I got started I read all 1300+ chapters in under two weeks.

Story seems interesting enough. Basically, dude is transferred over to another world. Said dude finds out there is a vr game that uses weapons from his world that was probably not seen in the world he is in. He decides to jump in and play in hopes of figuring out exactly how he got to the other world. Mc as a character isn't annoying, but remarkably average in a sense. Not the fault of the MC, but the author hasn't put the MC in situations where we could see more of his personality or capitalized on those moments where we could see his personality. Out of the 10 chapters so far, I think only one was dedicated to the real world while the other nine were in the vr world. Interestingly enough, the MC is like a super solo player and has had no interactions with other people besides pking. Overall I think this is going to be a fun read, but ten chapters is seriously too short to figure stuff like this out.

After reading 10 chapters, I can't say what would distinguish this apart from any other offering in the MMORPG area. This story relies a lot on game mechanics to fill the word count and if I were to compare it to something, the closest will be MMORPG: Elementalist. Both are boring to read and the plots are slow to progress. Way too much exposition in these 10 chapters. From a story crafting perspective, it's like using 10 chapters in the place of 1st page of Hunger Games. That is to say the pacing and world building for this story is inept.

The main protagonist is not smart. As such, the main protagonist does not make good decisions and that contributes to a bad reader experience. For instance, the main protagonist acts really clever in certain situations, but really dumb in other situations as though he was never clever. Lots of inconsistency in main protagonists character

I am not sure about the whole story, but the game definitely sucks. I am shocked that people even play it. This game is like Pay To Win taken to extreme. Just for the sake of reference. 1 Credit is around 1 Yuan. It requires 3 credits for a bullet. So 1 yuan is around 0.14 dollars. So basically 2 bullets for a dollar. Wtf? Let's talk about this from a machine gun player's POV. I am taking a rather popular machine gun, M4 carbine. It shoots around 700-900 rounds/min. That's almost 400 dollars for a minute of shooting. To put it in perspective for people who don't live in US and have no idea about how much is 500 dollars. A **4 Pro 1 TB costs $367 A Nitendo Switch is around $200 An iPhone XS is around $1000. That's like 3 minute of shooting. And this is just for the common bullets. He talks about bullets worth 5 credits, 30 credits and god knows what. Plus everything there costs. And how the author has described the game mechanics, a common player has no chance of even passing lvl 10, unless he's with some serious pay to win player. This is not pay to win, but pay to play. Anyway, sorry for the rant. This just really makes me question that has the author ever player a mmorpg or mmo game? Anyway that's it.

It has been 2 weeks since the last time a chapter was updated. Why have the chapter updates stopped? Did the novel go on hiatus? What happened? Someone tell me what is going on!

Let me just start off with saying I only read to chapter 16. Ignore this if that irks you. Ok, I was first attracted to this novel due to its description and it’s genre, video games. I was expecting an international mercenary dunking on some kids that are touching guns for the first time. But the MC acts nothing like an experienced mercenary let alone one that is considered “international”. Whatever that means. He only has great aim and descriptions of being prepared and calm-faced. And the enemy players are pretty generic. Next, the game features. Everything basically costs money. There’s that feature where if you attack first, you turn yellow-named. And killing makes you red named. And it’s takes 3 days to turn yellow from red and 1 day for yellow to white. And that’s with 1 pvp point. And dying causes you to lose a level, a chance for an item unless you are red named which it then becomes 100%, and getting locked out of your account for 12 hours. Even if people are charging at you, unless they hit you, you are technically still out of battle. Next, story. It starts off already in the game for probably a month. We don’t get to see the MC in his world or transmigrating. He’s also already got fitted in with his identity. He has some connections and apparently lives somewhere high up on a building. Then some game stuff and he fights and offends one of the largest mercenary groups within the game with 10,000+ players. He’s a solo player btw so far. Which is 16 chapters. And there’s my review, I wasn’t invested enough to keep reading and seeing if this was better. So you can ignore this review if you were looking for a review with more credibility from more chapters read.
