This novel sort of reminds me a bit of "FMHM". Lin Nuan gets Fu Huai'an to drop his engagement to Gu Hanyan. She did it because Hanyan used Wen Moshen against her. Not much is known about Moshen but I'll assume he's a guy Nuan like so she's sacrificing herself for him. Hanyan seems to be that certain type of character the readers hate, white lotus or green tea b*tch. Nuan seems to be the real daughter of the Lin family except there's another Lin family also. Some switching is involved and Nuan and Lin Ran got switched. Unlike FMHM, the adopted daughter is nice and the real daughter is evil. Another similar theme is Fu Huai'an having a son named Tuan Tuan who's just so precious. He really likes Nuan and calls her mother. But it seems like the identity of his mother is a secret or no one knows who she is. I even notice some comments saying Nuan could be his mother. But I feel the mother's identity won't be reveal until near the end of the story.

@PurplePeng I just started this novel and this thought came across too me. What if Lin Nuan is the real Lin but the fake parent pulled a fake switch to fake returning kid back to the Lin’s. 🤣😂🤣😂 One thing I love about this novel, it seems very realistic forever the family Dynamic. The other Lin’s children doesn’t hate Lin Nuan. They wished LN would come back and be a family. MrS Lin really bonded with LN and she loves her. She also loves her biological daughter but she is hurt and wants her mom to only love her. Her feeling towards LN makes sense but it has been 4 years she still hate her. Which makes me wonder will they connect? I think she shouldn’t be hating LN. She could have at least tried to connect with her so everyone can be happy just like LN left the family 4 years ago. Her sacrifice Ian proof of how much she loves and appreciate them for raising her. I think for the past 4 years LN hasn’t been living. She has been content but not happy. I how MR Fu can make her truly happy.

The sheer amount of smoking is unhealthy in this novel. All male leads smell like stale tobacco but according to author it's actually light and minty and masculine. This novel is not recommended for nonsmokers.
