I have read the raws, and I am currently in a situation where I want to drop the novel. The FL is actually from the Ye family, and is their true granddaughter. ML's mother, Ye Shuyun, is an adopted daughter of the Ye family [so FL and ML are not related by blood]. The FL's mother was kidnapped at 19? years old and stolen away from the Ye family. In future chapters, ML and FL get married [secretly] due to some circumstances. Ye Shuyun knows this, but ML hasn't told her who her daughter-in-law is. To become stronger, the FL decides to become a female soldier and takes a break from her acting career for 1 year, after winning the best actress award. During this time period, ML faithfully looks after his wife and visits her every week at the army. Around 4 months before FL has finished her training, Grandfather Lu decides he wants the ML to marry a woman from a military background family, Miao Xinyuan. ML finally tells Grandfather Lu he can't because he's already married. Old c*nt Lu whips the ML without mercy, sending him to the hospital [only stopping due to Grandfather Ye's reminder that ML has a rare blood type and may die due to blood loss]. Obviously, the new b*tch [Miao Xinyuan] has taken an unhealthy amount of interest in the ML and wants him at all costs. However, ML pays no heed to her pandering. And this is exactly what I hate about him: he never refuses a woman, no matter how badly he is treated or however much he needs to for the sake of preventing future disasters. Honestly, this non-confrontational aspect of his personality makes me loathe him, and it is definitely all his fault for not preventing the issues that occur in the future, where the FL suffers because of his inaction. The new b*tch goes crazy because the ML doesn't want her. ML is driving her somewhere, and she decides she wants to drive instead. Crazy b*tch accelerates to high speeds, trying to threaten the ML into being with her. However [and f*cking obviously] she almost crashes into people, and ML saves both of them, sending him to the hospital in critical condition. ML is in need of blood, FL drops everything and comes, giving him 1300cc of her blood. However, when he's safe, his family pays no heed to FL's condition, and ignore her. Feeling abandoned and broken [because she knows ML is in this condition from saving a woman] FL returns to the army to complete her training. ML awakens, and follows her to the army to explain himself. ML could have convicted the crazy b*tch because he had enough proof and actual footage of what had occurred. But he doesn't. Because the Lu family "owes" the Miao family, and this makes them "even". ML and FL kind of make up in the army. Then, the crazy b*tch comes and inserts herself because she wants to follow the ML. Crazy b*tch becomes jealous of the FL and ML's relationship, and decides to "discipline" the FL without the ML's knowledge. Beaten to a pulp every week, the FL finally fights back when her mother is mentioned. Finally defeating crazy b*tch, she turns around and leaves. Crazy b*tch is unreconciled and decides to deliver a lethal blow to FL's head in an attempt to actually kill her. ML stops her in time. However, during those beatings by crazy b*tch, the FL was kicked in the stomach. A doctor reports to the ML that the FL may never have children and now has fertility issues due to the kick. ML decides to not tell FL, and finally decides to convict the crazy b*tch. I know that the crazy b*tch is the one who did the actions, and ML is not directly to blame. But he indirectly allows all of this behaviour because he never speaks up, and firmly stands his ground. He lets all and any women step all over him, and eventually, that causes the FL to take the brunt of the consequences. I can't stand an ML like this. I hate his mother too. She persistently disregards the ML's feelings and tries to matchmake him with any and every woman she can get her hands on. Because she selfishly wishes for a grandchild. However, what will she do when FL can't give her one? Imagine. On top of that, the ML's mother owes so much to the FL's mother for actually giving her the opportunity to live well. annoying, disappointing story. I have read up to chapter 400.

I agree with you about the ML's attitude. I really felt sad when the doctor announced that the FL may not be able to get pregnant, though I'm still hoping that she will have a daughter (just like in her previous life). I stopped at CH. 409 and ML told FL that he sued the crazy b*tch. Sigh, I was actually happy for FL when she finally had a family she could lean on and things started to get better for her. Sadly, that incident happened and she'd suffered again. 😢 I'd still give it a chance, though. Maybe a hundred more chapters before I decide whether to drop it or not.

I was quite hesitant to read this story since the author is the same author who wrote 'Love In The Midst of Mistaken Identities'. I mean it was too angst-y for me that's why I can't have the courage to actually read it. But this novel is different, apart from the first part of the story which is in her first lifetime, in her next life, so far the development is good and there is no angst scenes[yet(?)]. The FL although experienced so much heartache in her first life, she still chose to embark on the road to entertainment industry. She isn't actually arrogant and her character development and the way the story was written was really well. I can't actually judge the story so much since I only read a portion of it. But it's really great.

Honestly, the novel is starting out pretty good since FL is getting a 2nd chance through her rebirth. She’s walking the same journey as her previous life but making sure to avoid her past mistakes and striving to be at the top using her own strengths again. As for the ML, its hinted at the beginning of the chapters but his presence seems to be mysterious as their encounters are brief but marking their entanglements meaningful. How the story develops or continues, whose to said since we haven’t encounter the white lotus and her ex ..

Oh god...another fricken novel that involves the entertainment. Seriously, where did all the professions go? Like is being entertainment the only job out there. I am so sick of reading the same story over and over. Nothing is different. The fl is reborn blah blah, gets revenge to sister/husband..blah blah meets another man who gets interested in her...oh my god. Can you please get these novels out of here. Give us something different other than being an actress. It's not even a powerful position. Dont read this if u dont want another entertainment novel.

A criticism, from a reader of the raw material. Usually the biggest problem of a Chinese novel is its extension, they extend the event to the level of a DBZ fight, where the arcs are cyclical, therefore repetitive. But this romance is not. For those who think this is a good thing, don't get confused, I even read chapter 459 of the novel and I can say that it is basically complete, anything else would be filling. The problem is that it goes on to chapter 2059, in other words, they fill a novel that should end in chapter 700 tokrno up to 1300 more chapters. Another point to remember is that, most novels have a diversification of cities, due to the majority of the protagonists living in the capital of China, but this novel although it has a national perspective the scenes of the films are brief and little described and the locality is an important city without much emotion. So if you want this novel to be in the capules around 700 ~ 800 and imagine an ending for them, otherwise you will be tasting filling for several days.

Done reading this book. All I can say is, don't read it if you have a weak heart. Lol S P O I L E R Who says her first life is painful? Come awn! Her first rebirth is much more painful. MC experienced every conspiracies she had to experience. Plus she's the only one who remembers their past life so she suffered a lot even rebirth. She died early. But her 2nd life introduces many characters like her new friends, her triplets and their future (who they married and how many children they had). She died early. I thought it ended there but they had a lot of regrets. She suffered a lot. It took while before she accepted that she's old... So we have 3rd life. Both MC an ML knew their past this time. So they didn't suffer much. Plus, in the third life, she was reborn earlier and saved her mom (and her husband, MC's stepfather but doted on her like a real daughter) and grandmother. She even had a brother. The story ended when she had her triplets again. In short, 1st life is like trial. 2nd life is the longest part of the book. Most painful. 3rd life is short yet satisfying for me. Well, the reason she suffered much in 2nd life is eliminated earlier in the third life. And that is the death and suffering of her mom.

Drop this book after the flood arc. I guarantee you'll be saving yourself a world of pain and frustration. Tbh, this book is good, for a while, and the characters are pretty good too. Until the ML disappears after a flood. Looking back, I think that was the optional time to stop reading it. Because when the ML comes back, it's like everyone's IQ has dropped dramatically, and the ML and MC get into these incredibly stupid scenarios that are just there for... angst, I guess? Angst and drama. When the ML comes back, his passiveness to women has kicked up to the point of stupidity and having no boundaries, despite being in a relationship. And this turns into a scene about him letting this chick into his car that sets off an incredibly stupid plot point for hundreds of chapters, for nothing but drama. And what does the MC do? Forgive him for having no boundaries, of course! Not to mention get kidnapped easily and disappear for months with the ML being *completely unable* to find her (despite being a world class hacker? excuse me?). Ughhh. Honestly, do yourself a favor and drop it before you start hating the ML like I did. Just pretend everything worked out and the ML didn't became a useless loser in the last thousand chapters.
