(6) splitting up and first duel finale

Before I begin this chapter(with a possible bonus chapter for the diligent readers who have given me stones),I'm planning on making the duel academy of gx a university instead of highschool,so when Jonah goes at 21(five years after the end of yugioh),bastion will be 16 on a scholarship with Jaden and a couple others.

Now onto the chapter!

"Eh? Why did I enter this tournament?" Bastion,who was on the verge of tearing up,hear the question his opponent asks,temporarily stop his tears.

"I was always an intelligent kid,and saw science in duel monsters,but it was because of my intellect that makes me a target…I've been bullied,harassed and sometimes beaten by the classmates who just can't try to understand,so…I entered here due to my thesis trying to prove them wrong…but I am afraid of losing here."

Hearing this from bastion of all people,it made Jonah remember of his time in school where the intelligent people were the targets of bullies,and even saw a few suicides on tv because of bullying.

"Good grief" Jonah says adjusting his hat,"hey bastion,what I'm about to say may help you In life so listen up."

Bastion nodded before looking at me,"bullies…they target those who are better off than them,especially the intellectual types of people,and all because they know they won't make it in life,and want to drag someone down with them."I say and watch as bastion's eyes widen.

"So have more confidence in yourself,and prove to them that what they do only makes you stronger,so when the world pushes you down,get back up and move forward."

Bastion who was listening started crying,he's never had anyone try to help him,and now,a person he's only just met is encouraging him.

After about a minute bastion soon calmed down and looked at Jonah with a kind smile,"thank you Jonah,it means a lot to me,so let's continue the duel,and I'll see it through to the end."

Nodding at Jonah I place two of cards into my spell and trap zones.

"Alright kid,it's your move." I say as he nods,"my turn,I draw!" Bastion says picking up a card from the deck.

"I activate the effect of gilasaurus,I can special summon this card onto the field,tha caveat being you can special someone from your graveyard as well."

I look into my graveyard and I hear Bruno's voice,(hey Jonah,let's me onto the field,I can feel zipperman is coming!),and listening to Bruno's request I take him out of the graveyard.

"Then the one I choose to special summon is stand user Bruno buccarati! In attack mode."

I place Bruno next to made in heaven and I see the kanji for menace appearing with Bruno,he was ready to fight.

Stand user-Bruno buccarati (earth-warrior)(lvl3)(effect)(atk:1300 def:1100)

Bastion nods before starting his plan,"okay then I'll also tribu-",he began to say,but I decide to activate one of my traps.

"Sorry but I'm cutting your main phase shot with the trap red wine mishap!" I say to bastion as a card on my field shows itself,it's art showing nerancha spilling red wine onto a man's white suit.

"This card when activated moves you straight into the battle phase,and I choose one of your monsters and it has to battle one of the monsters of my choosing,and I'll choose made in heaven!"

Flustered at what I've done bastion watched as the kanji of menace shows on made in heaven as gilasaurus charges towards made in heaven,and enrico speaks to the monster,"made in heaven! Send that overgrown lizard back to the Jurassic era!"

Made in heaven intercepts as gilasaurus tries to bite the stand,only to have its snout cave in as a result.

Bastion: 4000 lp———2900 lp

Bastion instead of backing away goes for one of his set cards,"I activate the trap card Time Machine,this allows me to bring back my monster in the exact position it was in."

I watch as I see gilasaurus come back growling at made in heaven.

"Next I activate from my hand the spell stop attack,this will allow me to change any card in attack position to defense position,and I'll choose my own gilasaurus!"

Gilasaurus soon curls its tail around itself as it's changed from attack to defense.

"Your move." Bastion says as I draw my first card.

I look at the card I drew…it was zipperman!,"I activate the effect of Bruno buccarati,when the monster stand-zipperman is in my hand while Bruno is on the field,I can special summon zipperman and equip Bruno buccarati to it,giving Bruno's effect to it!"

Bruno starts moving to the spell and trap zone as zipperman manifests out of Bruno.

Stand-zipperman (earth-warrior)(lvl6)(effect)

(Atk:2000 def:1200)

"Now I attack your gilasaurus using zipperman!" I say as bastion watches,"time to end this! Zipperman!!" I hear Bruno say as a series of punches hit gilasaurus,and it disappears in shards.

Bastion 2900 lp———1300 lp

"Wait why did I take damage?" Bastion asks in confusion,i decide to fill him in,"zipperman effect allows me to deal piercing damage to an opponent when I destroy a defense position monster,and with the effect of Bruno buccarati,any attacks that would restrict its attacks or movements won't work on him."

Hearing this bastion realizes he had lost,"now made in heaven attack him directly!"

*brertzboom*

Bastion 1300 lp———-0 lp

"The duel between bastion misawa and Jonah kamijo has ended,the winner is Jonah kamijo!"

We both hear an electronic voice coming from the duel platform,informing us that I won,and as I walk over to bastion,I see his head down,like he was going to cry,but instead he looks at me with a smile on his face.

"That was a superb duel Jonah,I don't think I'll ever regret meeting you,so please take these." He says as he hands me his two star chips and his double summons spell card.

"Wait,didn't you place one star as the ante?" I ask,knowing for a fact that he did place on star chip on the line.

"I did,but you made me realize I didn't need to enter this tournament to prove myself,so please take my chips,and take this card,may it help you on your journey." He says before turning around and walking toward the boat for eliminated contestants.

"Good grief." I say as I smile at bastion's gesture,knowing I was carrying his will.

[ding! You won against secondary character bastion misawa(gx) and helped his childhood problem,1000 DP has been given for this feat]

Hearing the prompt from my dueldisk I realized that I managed to not only win against bastion,but even help mold him to be what he was in gx.

Now I had 4000 DP,only 6000 more to go.

(Meanwhile up in Pegasus castle)

The video showing the duel of Jonah and bastion was playing live,and Pegasus was perplexed,he doesn't remember Jonah being in the roster.

"Master Pegasus I've just finished the investigation you requested on that young man." A butler in his 40s walked in ,speaking of his findings of Jonah.

"Well now,please tell me about this Jonah boy." Pegasus says putting down the glass of wine he had in his hand as he wanted to give his undivided attention on what was found on this intriguing duelist.

"His name is Jonah kamijo,16 years old and an orphan,he lives next to the home of Solomon and yugi motou."

"He lives next to yugi boy?" Pegasus hearing this was surprised to find that Jonah was a neighbor to one of his targets.

"Yes,and it appears that the delivery team had an accidental problem and sent a package to Jonah as well." The butler says finishing his report.

"Interesting…he uses a deck that's one of a kind,I find him very interesting,let's send a dark duelist to face him."Pegasus says as he remembers Jonah's deck and how it used monsters as equip spells for other monsters.

"I have the perfect person to send,Ms.vertinelli otherwise known as Lilith is wishing to retire,so I'll send her there as her final job,she wishes to find someone to settle down with." The butler say,as Lilith has been asking to retire from her duties for some time.

"Well if she wants that then she'll have to win against Jonah boy,where is she now?"

"She's on her way to the cliff side duel terminal which is where Jonah is walking to."

"Excellent!" Pegasus says as he takes another sip of his wine,as he waits with anticipation on the duel soon to happen.

Well folks,looks like Jonah is on Pegasus' radar,and his first yandere harem member is making her appearance,and I'm planning on having her use an amazoness deck that is based on my own irl deck.

(Oh yeah I forgot to mention her appearance,but imagine a silver haired Japanese Italian minamoto no raikou from fate grand order,so she'll have those milf/elder sister vibes)
