(5)splitting up and first duel part 1

As we get off the boat we all see a path that lead to stair going a mile up.

"Aw man! You mean we have ta climb that?" Joey says looking at the stairs like it was his worst enemy.

"Man up Joey,we aren't going to save anyone if we stay down here." I say as I start walking up the stairs,reminiscing of my training with Lisa Lisa,'compared to what Lisa does with stairs,this is easy!' I think to myself as I see the others walk up with me.

(Hey Jonah,I'm using my lil bomber like you said,but my radar is different.)

I hear the voice of nerancha behind me as I continue walking up the stairs,"different,do you think you can describe it?" I ask nerancha via the necklace.

(Sure I can try…on the spot that shows yugi and his friends there spots are all green,while the people around you with the exception of Mai valentine are red,Mai's is yellow,and there are a few that are black with little skulls on them.)

Hearing this I give a small smile,"I think your stand can now show alignments based on people at round me,green for allies,red for enemies,yellow for neutral and black skulls for evil bosses,think of it like an rpg videogame." I explain as nerancha nods his head in excitement.

(Cool! So it like final fantasy or castlevania!) I hear nerencha say,not knowing he was a gamer I knew he had good tastes for games.

(Alright then Jonah,I'll keep observing,I'll alert you if your friends are in trouble.) and like that I see nerancha's spirit form dissipate as I make it to the final step.

I look down and I see yugi and the others following up close to me,Joey and Tristan panting at the cardio they did.

"Jeez Jonah,what are you made of? There isn't a single drop of sweat on ya!" I hear Joey say as more and more duelist gather.

"I work my body harder than this." I say to Joey and the others with Tristan giving me a thumbs up in approval.

And what I said wasn't a joke,those rings after the tenth set on my arms and legs will weigh 200kg on each limb,and I have to run with that mask too.

Suddenly everyone goes silent as a screen pops up and shows a man with long silver hair and an eccentric vibe.

"Welcome all of you to duel kingdom,my name is Maximillian pegasus,and this is my private island and on the island you will be dueling it out until the end of the day after tomorrow,that's 48 hours from now!"

"Pegasus!" I hear yugi say as he glared at the screen,as if he wanted the man to explode.

"Now here are the rules,you see those star chips on your glove?" He asks holding up one himself. " you will need a total of 10 star chips to enter my castle,when you start a duel bet how many star chips you wish and the winner takes all,and remember,48 hours,clocks ticking!" Pegasus says before the broadcast ends.

"Listen up competitors! You will now go back down the way you came,now duel!" I hear the guard say,and I turn to yugi and the others.

"Alright,let's split up,we'll come back together here and face Pegasus." I say,knowing that if I go with yugi and the others,I'd have a bit of a headache going forward.

Yugi looks at me reluctantly before giving me a nod,"alright,but be careful. We don't know who we will face." He says at which I nod before going down.

(Hey Jonah,there's someone near one of those duel thingies,he seems to be waiting for someone.)

"Thanks nerancha,lead the way." I say to nerancha as he leads me into a forest,and as I go deeper I see a kids who looked young,about 11 years old by the look of things.

"Hey kid,you looking to duel?" I ask the kid,who gets startled by my sudden appearance,and as he calms down he nods,"yes mister,I came because of my duel theory thesis',so I'm a bit nervous facing another person." I hear the kid say,he looked kind of familiar.

"My name's Jonah,what's yours?" I ask him as I make my way up the podium to the duel field.

"Oh,my name is bastion,bastion misawa ." I hear the kid say as it all clicks,'my first opponent is bastion misawa from yugioh gx!' I think excitedly.

"So I'm betting one star chip for now bastion,I'll let you go first." I say the bastion,who…didn't look like his confident self in the gx series.

"Oh,then I'll bet one star chip as well,ready Jonah?" I hear bastion say and I nod in response.

"Duel!" (X2)

"I draw! And I'll start by playing my sangan in attack mode!" Bastion says as I see the image come to life,I see a fuzzball with a smile on its face.

"Then I'll activate the spell card double summon,now I can do another summon and I'll tribute my sangan to play monster face down,and I'll end my turn placing two cards facedown."

I see two cards being shimmered into existence and I go for my draw.

"Just so you know bastion,you forgot to activate Sangans effect." I say as I draw and I see bastion get flustered,"oh man! I forgot about that! Can I still activate it?" Bastion asks me.

"Normally you can't,but considering you're nervous,I'll allow it once."

Bastions eyes shine a bit more as he searches for his choice monster,then shuffled his deck.

"Okay,now you can continue!"

"Alright I draw…I'll activate pot of greed,and draw two cards." As I pick up my two cards I find enrico pucci and a graceful charity.

"I'll also activate graceful charity,I'll draw 3 cards but the drawback is I need to discard 2 cards,and I'll discard dio's zombie army and stand user-bruno buccarati!"

I put my two monsters into the graveyard as I hear Bruno,(why didn't you summon me?) he asks via my mystic arrow necklace.

"Don't worry,I'm waiting till I get monster reborn and your stand,so far I got monster reborn,so only a matter of time." I tell him via thought,and he nods his head.

"Alright first I'll summon stand user-enrico pucci!" I watch as the image of enrico pucci appear like a mirage,he was posing in prayer before rising for battle.

"May the lord bless us all!" Pucci says with his arms spread wide.

Bastion looks at enrico before putting a finger in his ears,'am I hearing things?' He thought to himself.

"Now I activate the effect of my enrico pucci! If I hold stand-made In heaven in my hand,I can special summon it to the field,and the other effect of enrico pucci will be given to made in heaven."

We both watch as pucci walks to an empty spell/trap slot as in front of him showed a man who looks like he's riding half of a horse,on the horse has what looks like clocks on parts on its body.

(Stand-made in heaven)(light-fairy)

(Atk: 2500 def:2500)

"2500 attack!" Bastion couldn't believe it,not only did his opponent use an unknown deck,but that he had a monster that was like dark magician.

"Now made in heaven! Attack his facedown!"

*bberrztsboom*

I watch as made in heaven moves faster than the face down could react,and I watch as a golem with a golden eye breaks apart and falls into rubble.

"No my millennium golem! That was my best card!" I hear bastion say as he tears up,for some reason he didn't look like his confident counterpart from gx.

"Hey bastion,why did you come to this tournament?"

Yeah I don't know how to do a glitchy sound effect for made in heaven.

But how do you guys like a young bastion miwa(totally wasted potential if you ask me)?

If you haven't read the document about Jonah's deck it's in the installment before chapter 4.

Also I wanted to post this Saturday but it was late,so I am posting it now,im planning on doing a young Jaden yuki during the battle city tournament.

But next chapter I'm planning on revealing my young bastion miwa's backstory and have Jonah make him learn to be confident in himself like the gx counterpart.
