Grandpa Ye can't wait to announce to everyone about his cute grandsons.

Within an hour, everyone in the Ye family becomes close with their new family members.

Huo Yao gives them space and goes to an empty place to deal with some work.

She was checking some documents of her company when she received a call from one of the assistants.

He is Li Jie's elder brother, Li Zhen. He is a cardiology specialist, also known as the CEO of Capital's one of the best private hospitals, 'Hope Hospital.'

He is also a personal assistant to the prestigious hospital's Chairman.

Huo Yao accepted the call. Li Zhen's respectful voice came, "Boss, when will you start taking patients? I already issued a notice that the Special Professor of 'Alex Hospital' will come to our hospital and will perform one or two operations in one week."

Yeah, Huo Yao is the founder of 'Hope Hospital' in Capital and also a shareholder of 'Alex Hospital.' She also taught at "Alex Hospital" as a special professor for the last four years.

When she was twelve years old, she opened a private hospital, "Hope Hospital." It only took two years to become famous all over the country because of its amazing treatment and outstanding operating system.

This hospital is indeed private, but it's only private for rich people. However, this hospital's fees for poor people are very low, and it even provides free treatment if someone can't afford the fee.

This hospital's one-appointment fee for rich people is very high, and if one needs any operation or any test, they have to be prepared for high costs.

But even with these high prices, they still come for treatment because here doctors are the best in the capital, and their technical machines are the best in the country.

So when Li Zhen posts a notification that a special professor will come, patients like them almost bombard the recipient's phone to make an appointment.

Huo Yao pondered for some time; she had no time now to take patients. "Make a list of patients who need treatment badly and inform them to come. I will come tomorrow evening."

Li Zhen noted down everything. "OK, boss. Then I won't disturb you anymore."

Huo Yao hangs up, as she is about to read her documents when someone approaches her from the front.

Ye ZhengYu approached Huo Yao very closely, almost taking her in his arms. "Shall we talk alone?"

Huo Yao took a step back calmly and nodded. "You don't have to come so close to say this."

Ye ZhengYu looked at her small action, pursed his lips. "Let's go to study." He waited for her response, but she had already taken the lead without saying anything. He could only follow her silently.

At the study, Huo Yao took a seat on the sofa, waiting for Ye ZhengYu to take a seat. But Ye ZhengYu didn't follow her thought process.

He came in front of her and squatted down, placing his chin on her knee and looking at her without blinking. Huo Yao looked at his actions blankly.

"What are you doing?"

"Acting cute with my fiancée," he answered.

"Acting cute for what? And I am not your fiancée," her voice still emotionless.

"You are. I didn't agree with anyone about breaking our engagement," he answered forcefully.

"Yaoyao, I was wrong before. I am so sorry, please forgive me, okay?"

"I never expected anything from you, so you don't have to apologize."

Ye ZhengYu felt someone hit his heart; it was very painful.

"What favor did I do before? Why can't I remember?"

"You don't have to know," his dropping eyelids hid his bottomless dark eyes and sadness in them.

"Yaoyao, will you marry me?" he knew he would be refused but still said this. Maybe he will get some unexpected answer.

Huo Yao looked at his downcast look quietly. As Ye ZhengYu thought she would not answer, she started to talk.

"I won't. Ye ZhengYu, don't waste your time thinking about me," her voice calm, clear, and cold like a peaceful ancient well without any ripple.

This answer was as expected, but he still felt suffocating.

"If I pursue you, and you feel my sincerity, will you consider marrying me?" his voice was a little muffled.

"As I said earlier, don't waste your time on me. I don't understand what love is or how to love others."

Ye ZhengYu clenched his hand. He knew about her problem of understanding emotions; Yue Chen had told him this previously when they were still friends.

"I know this. But I still want to pursue you. Yaoyao, one day I will make you fall in love with me."

"Whatever," with saying this, she headed towards the restroom in the study.

Ye ZhengYu sat on the sofa, deep in thought about how to make this heartless girl fall for him when he heard a message notification sound. He subconsciously looked in the sound's direction.

He recognized the phone on the tea table. Perhaps Huo Yao had left it here since she went to the restroom.

It's a message from an unknown number. He could read it from the lock screen.

"Honey, you left without saying anything. What should I do now that I am missing you? Sweetheart, I want to hug you and kiss you."

Ye ZhengYu's look became even darker, like an abyss. At this moment, Huo Yao came out from inside.

"I advise Mr. Ye to do a paternity test with the children."

Ye ZhengYu looked at her deeply and asked in a low and hoarse voice, "Why? Is there any chance that there is someone else who can be their father other than me?"

Huo Yao felt that he suddenly started to act strangely.

She replied matter-of-factly, "You don't doubt them, but others will."

"After all, Mr. Ye is famous in Capital's aristocratic family. So I don't want others to point their fingers at my children nastily."

Ye ZhengYu suddenly felt his anger was a joke. After all, she never cared about his rumors about other women, nor did he ever explain it.

So, what right did he have now to get angry with her for an unknown message?

He retorted weakly, "With me here, nobody will have the chance or courage to bully our sons or you."

Huo Yao shot him a look that Ye ZhengYu couldn't understand. "Just protect the children, don't have to care about my matters," she turned to leave.
