Awakening ceremony

Bu Lin and the rest soon followed the academy elder down to the primeval spring.

"Wow, this is beautiful!" Exclaimed some people.

Bu Lin also had to admit that it was rather beautiful. The large stalactites drooping from the ceiling and dripping water on the youths. They also Some boney trees growing on the sides of the caves. The boney tree fruit are the main food for the signature gu of the Cao clan the bone needle gu.

The boney trees are trees that at first are a bright red colour but when they mature and start bearing fruit they turn into different shades of gray.

While the fruit are about a large apple size that if a person would eat it they would feel like they were chewing on a piece of a bone. Also if a mortal would eat one they would mostly likely die. The mortal villages around the Cao have story's of starving children finding some boney trees, eating the fruit and dying.

Lastly they see the sparking water from the primeval spring and the hope gu flying around.

"Ok, listen I will call out your names. The person who is called must walk through the spring for as far as you can. The further you go the higher your talent is. Does everyone understand?" The elder said

The elder soon started calling out many names. Most people didn't have any cultivation talent and it's normal for five out of ten people to not have talent.

"Ok, next it's Cao bo Jing."

Before her there was one b grade talent so the elders watching were in a pretty decent mood and had high expectations.

"That's your daughter isn't clan leader bo Bol." said one of the elders

"Yes it is, hopefully she gets a high talent and doesn't disappoint our clan." Replied bo Bol

Soon after this comment bo Jing started walking through the river. The hope gu living their soon surrounded her and started entering into her body.

"That amount of hope gu should be at least B grade talent if not A grade!" Exclaimed one of the elders

Bo Jing continued walking and quickly pasted 10 steps and making her at least D grade. Then almost as fast past the 20 steps mark making her at least C grade

Some children that were already been tested and not having any cultivation talent or D grade talent looked at her jealousy.

Bo Jing continued walking fast until she hit the 38 step mark when she slowed down considerably.

'That's at least high B grade and she looks like she's still walking.' Thought some kids and most elders.

With her slow pace, she walked until 46 steps then she fell to the ground.

"46 steps, A grade talent, let me check your aperture." Bo Jing slowly went to the academy elder.

Many other students had their mouths wide open it's a A grade. A rare thing even in the Cao clan. Most of the elders were smiling a and nodding their heads

"92% essence, heavy training recommended!" Yelled out the elder

"Congratulations clan leader, it looks like you have a genius in your faction." Said Cao bu Shou, bu Lin's father.

"Thank you very much, hopefully your son also has that great of a talent." Replied bo Bol.

A couple of people lasted and one B grade later later it was bo Lin's turn

"Ok, next up is Cao bu Lin."

Bu Lin slowly started walk to the primeval spring. 'Ok, this is it.' Bu Lin took in a deep breath. 'This decides my fate, I need to be at least C grade to survive this world, if not I will most likely die doing one of the clan's missions .'

As soon as bu Lin entered the water many hope gu came up to him and entered his body. The amount was just a little less then bo Jing.

'With this amount of hope gu coming to me I should be at least B grade if not higher!'

"With this amount of hope gu, your son might have similar aptitude as my daughter." Called out clan leader bo Bol.

Bu Shou quickly smiled at bo Bol. 'This is very good, and with bu Lin aptitude my bu faction won't be lesser then the clan leader's faction.'

Bu Lin ran through 10, 20, and 30 steps but he slowed down considerably when hitting 30. 'The pressure is really starting to affect my walking but I can keep going.'

He then continued walking slowly. "35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44!"Scream out bu Lin

The pressure hurt so much that blood started coming out of his eyes, mouth, and ears but he didn't care because he knew he got one more step in him.

"45!" Yelled out bu Lin. He then passed out but before he could bu Shou came and caught him. Bu Show then handed bu Lin to the academy elder. "Please check his aptitude, then send him to the medical hall."

The academy elder nodded his head when bu Shou said that to him. "Cao bu Lin, A grade 90% essence, heavy training recommended!" Yelled out the academy elder.

"Where am I?" Whispered bu Lin

He look around and saw he was in a enclosed space and he was laying on a cloth bed.

'Looks like I'm in the medical hall' bu Lin then remember all the thing he did and how he passed out.

'I need to figure out what happened after I passed and how long I was out for.' Thought bu Lin

As he was thinking this his mother Cao bu Shi came in. "Why were you so reckless, you didn't need to do that."

"Sorry mother but I just want to make you and father proud." Apologized bu Lin

"Well you did, with your 90% essence and some time, you will become a elder like your father and grandfather."

"Thank you for the kind words mother." Said bu Lin. "But what was the results of the others."

"A little less then 100 people awakened a primeval sea with half of them being D grade, 30 being C grade, around 10 B grade, and 3 being A grade. You, Cao bo Jing. And Cao Yue Yuan." Said Bu Shi

"That's good to hear, but I need to rest before I have to go to the academy, so can you please leave mother." Asked bu Lin

After saying this bu Shi said her good byes and left.

'With their being 3 A grade talents and one of them not related to a faction the clan will give us special care." Thought bu Lin "I need to make use of these benefits.
