Interlude Ruby

Ruby's general POV}

Life was strange. Going to Beacon early was a dream come true, and only got better when I was going to be with Yin and Yang. Now it might've started off kinda bad when Weiss and I blew up a few seconds after meeting, but that was fine. We still turned out to be the bestest of friends.

The initiation was... Fun? Getting chased by and fighting a Death Stalker was definitely awesome.

Then the rest of the initiation was cool. At the time, it wasn't, but when I look back at it, it definitely was. Ending up the leader of our team was kind of stressful though. It was hard trying to get Weiss to like me, Blake to talk, Yin and Yang to not baby me. Stuff like that. But it all worked out in the end.

Even when Weiss found out about Blake being a faunus, we got through it without a big fight! Though that was more Yin helping out then me being the leader. The other stuff that happened was kinda 50/50 really.

Meeting and hanging out with team JNPR was fun. Sure Yin and Yang might've used the excuse of 'going to their friends' to ditch me after we landed, but it helped me meet Jaune! Even if he was a vomit boy, he was still a good friend.

Then there was the rest of team JNPR.

Nora was fun! Maybe a little... Alot of crazy, but fun!

Pyrrha was the invincible girl! It was cool being friends with someone on a cereal box.

Ren was fine. He was like Blake. Silent and calm, but nice to have around. His whole 'ninja' aesthetic was cool in my opinion.

The year was turning out great, and even with the whole thing with the situation in the Forever Fall forest, things were going fine.

Mt. Glenn was a little iffy, but hey, we came out of it fine!

Things were great. Then the Vytal festival happened... And things suddenly weren't fine. Penny was gone, Yin and Maccillian told me she would come back so that helped, there were Grimm all over the place, and things were just bad. I had no idea if my team was ok, I had to fight Torchwick and his Ice cream friend, then fall all the way back to the ground!

But it got better! The coolest guy, other then uncle Qrow, showed up, and it. Was. Awesome! Turning into a wolf was cool. Going really fast like I was using my semblance was also cool. But blowing away a huge swarm of Grimm with the most awesome technique I've ever seen was in another league!

Then we met the rest of his... Girlfriends?

Saeko was a little scary. Even if Yin and Yang stopped me from seeing what she did to Cinder, I still heard a little bit... But I... Befriended her? Anyway. We were ok with each other.

Saya was awesome since she was into making and finding out mechashift weapons. Spending time with someone that could keep up with me talking about weapons, helped me come up with new ideas, and work to make a new one for her was great.

Shizuka was nice and warm. She liked to hug me, which was great! Almost suffocating from her huge... Assets, was not. I knew Yin and Yang were big... But she was on another level! Yin, Yang and even Weiss were jealous of her! What did she eat to get J CUPS ANYWAY?! And where could I get some?

And Rika was the BEST! She was like me! Out of all my friends, no one else knew the ways of a sniper. I was a lone boat in the sea of heretics. But Rika was the lighthouse! She was my new bestiest bestfriend. We competed, where she mostly won, but I got close alot of times! We talked about how far we could shoot, where she again had the upper hand, mostly because she had more experience then me.

Then there was Maccillian 'cool wolf guy' himself. He was fun to be around. Sure Yin, Yang and dad didn't like how often he cursed around me, but I didn't get it. I was old enough to kill Grimm, I could curse!

He helped us out when we sparred, and sparring against him was weird. He turned off his aura sometimes, which would throw us off, then hit us while we were surprised. It was terrifying the first time he did that, because who expects to cut off another persons arm when you spar? Not us! We got used to it eventually, but it was still a little scary.

It was cool being around him since he let me ride on his back when he ran in the air, and almost flying was so cool!

They were all my friends, so I was sad to see them go. But we DID keep in contact. Rika liked to call me when she was bored, and we talked alot. Maccillian would join Weiss when she called, and hearing her 'distaste' at him was fun. Saya called to talk weapons, check in on me, and just other stuff we talked about. Shizuka talked to me about lots of stuff, and we'd get distracted easily. Saeko didn't call as much as the others, but it was ok. We still talked.

But I didn't get alot of time to focus on them not being around anymore.

Because Yin turned us into Werewolves! Using Werewolf powers was the coolest thing ever! Being a wolf was awesome. Having black and red fur when I used my wolf and Werewolf form was so cool! Then there was the power boost! I could throw an Ursa-Major like it was nothing! I WAS THE TINY TERROR!

Yin's whole 'Gamer' thing could take a backseat to that! Sure it was cool, and going to other worlds sounded amazing, but Werewolf powers!

Speaking of, the quest Yin got and the news about the Grimm coming to Patch was a problem. Like, a BIG problem. But we'd be fine. We had this. And we'd come out on top just like we always have!

Because we were team RWBBY! Well, team RYY... It sounded less cool, but oh well. The Grimm would know vengeance! They would know fear! They would know the cool powers of a Werewolf huntress!
