And the winner is…(drum roll please)

I soon found Adam , who was mumbling something in revery, maybe praying. God seeing the like this makes me nervous as hell. It feels just like entrance exam result day. Maybe I should say something to him? I went near him and I heard him saying,

"God please let me win the lottery this time. I just want to experience a fluffy harem life at least one to atleast appease my soul if it ever got destroyed. Just this one, I don't know if I could afford it next time or not."

I couldn't control myself and let out a chuckle. He turns his head fast in my direction to just see my smiling face. He averted his gaze away from me, maybe shame?

"Hey Adam, what's up? I just finished my registration, do you know when this lottery picking would actually start?"

I divert the conversation so as to not embarrass him as he is the only company I have until lottery and I don't want him to keep mute to make myself feel lonely. He kinds shrugged his shoulders and said,

"It's up to them, I think they would wait for some time until they reach quiet a number. Hey, I'm just guessing this as I don't know."

"So your previous attempts were your past lives huh? So what's your body count?"

"What?"- looking seriously confused.

I laughed and said, "haha, I just asked you about the number of times you became a dead body."

" 25 times, the up and coming might be 26th or I might go to heaven. I still don't know the condition to be fulfilled to enter heaven, so yeah. It's all depends on luck."

Oh, so in his 25 times in afterlife he only encountered lottery about 6 times. Maybe I'm just lucky to be able to encounter it during my first time. Then we chatted among ourself about our past lives, it seems we are from the same earth. He likes to anime and manga it seems, I could get the gist of it from his previous prayer. As we talked about various things our nervousness disappeared or just hidden well from the surface. Time passed,

*3 Hours later*

I could see the crowd started moving and everyone felt antsy. Me and Adam also reached the front to observe how they select 'the one'. Just kidding. As we were moving forward we saw the sight of a centaur carrying a big goblet and placed it in front of the booth.

Adva the gnome came forward with a bowl full of folded papers and followed by the pixie and Mr. Armageddon. Then Elly waved her wand and started the fire in the goblet. Hold on, wait a minute. Damn these guys are ripping of goblet of fire from Harry Potter. If only they weren't some powerful guys I would have asked them to original.

Then I saw Adva pour every paper bits, probably names of the participants into the goblet fire. Suddenly the fire turned blue and formed into the shape of a phoenix. Damn these guys and their theatrics. Everyone waited for the result anxiously. 1 minute passed nothing happened, 2 minute passed nothing happened and now almost after 5 minutes some of them shouted in an unrecognisable voice.

It seems the patience of these people trimmed thin by the nature of the situation. Suddenly everyone heard a chuckle which soon turned into a full blown laughter. Everyone turned towards the source to find that the pixie who lit the fire was laughing her guts out. Seriously what the hell is happening? Soon the pixie spoke but everyone understood her the same as they, including me, showed same expression after hearing her,

"Sorry guys, pffft, it's just so funny to see your constipated face. Hahaha that was hilarious"

Then Adva the gnome interrupted her and helped her appease the crowd that was infuriated.

"Sorry people, think of it as a little harmless prank from the beautiful pixie. The result will be shown in a second"

As soon as he said that the fire rekindled, kinda, and then formed a dragon face and spit one piece of folded paper. Which was caught by the gnome and e slowly opened it. Everyone here can. Feel the tension the air, everyone were anxious and anticipating at the same time.

Adva unfolded the paper and read the name, he raised his eyebrow slightly. The emphasis on the slightly. He then smiled and announced the winner,

"The winner of this lottery is … Justin Ragnor Silver. Congratulations to the winner, the remaining participants please join the line to move in to the temple. Thank you for participating, please do so again if possible" this guy quiet literally cursing most of the people here. Anyway I think I just heard my name.

Holy shit I just won the f***ing lottery. Yahoo. I think I'm just going on a mental loop celebration while my spiritual form…? Just stood there like a statue. I got a feeling of being nudged and turned towards and saw a bitterly smiling Adam,my talking buddy for the past hours.

"Hey Justin congrats I hope you live a happy transmigrated life."

Damn I feel him. It feels like he was chasing after a certain girl only to be married by his little brother. Wow am I an empath (A/N: NO, he is not an empath. It's just Adam here is quiet literally showing soulful look to him. That's all).

"Thanks man. I don't know what to say man, I hope you have better afterlife. Maybe you can have your chance next time."

"Yeah it's fine. I'll forget this ever happened in a few moments anyway. Just live a better life including my own fantasy"

To which I replied fast- "Nah hell no man, you live your own fantasy yourself, I have my own to live. But I understand the feeling. Thanks man. If there is any minuscule of chance, may we meet sometime."

Then we hug a little(A/N: it's just bro hug). Then we parted our ways with a goodbye.

Then I just noticed the lottery booth trio looking my direction. I then walk towards them in a giddy manner. I think I just attained nirvana of happiness. Is this what is called 'when it rains it pours'? I don't think so, because I was just dead a moments ago. Anyway I just reached the trio and they congratulated me for my lucky win. Well except for, you guessed it Mr. Armageddon. I think I'm missing something.

Adva- "Congratulations Justin on your lottery"

Elly- " Congrats Justin"

"Thank you Mr.Adva, Ms.Elly and Mr. Armageddon. I'm a little lucky I guess. Then what about the wish granting part?"

To which Adva replied

"We were just waiting for you. Just follow me I'll lead you to the chief"

"Thank you again for your help. Please lead the way." As soon as I said that Adva Lead me into the lottery booth Where I could see a blue portal opening. Adva Stood in front of the portal and gestured me to walk inside.

" Justin get onto the portal and you will reach the Chief's room he will know that you will be there so you don't have to worry about anything. From then on Chief will advise you about every thing. Get a good wish and enjoy your next life congratulations again."

I just followed His advice and entered the portal.

*third pov*

As soon as Justin entered the portal the blue Portal closed. Then the green had Pixie started laughing hard. She couldn't control her laughter and then the gnome too started laughing a bit mildly Compare to the pixie.

The gnome asked the pixie " Hey Elly Why did you lie about arms name? And why did it seem like Justin was very afraid of arms?"

The pixie laughed a bit and answer the question-" That guy just thought about bringing me like a fat to the other world. He would be punished if it's not for the fact that he is just a soul. But a little Prank wouldn't hurt, right?"

Adva just chuckled " Why was he so terrified of arms is there any meaning behind that?"

Elly broke into a roaring laughter "Haha, That guy just thought arms was some kind of cosmic entity. If he knew that arms is as regular as any goat could get, what would he do?what kind of face would he make? Just thinking itself makes me want to laugh more."

Adva asked curiously- "Then why didn't you tell him about it, you could have watched it if you revealed it"

To this Elly replied- "I would have if he didn't win the lottery. If I had revealed it his thoughts would have been in disarray as he was about to make his wish. I'm just a naughty pixie not a bad pixie."

"That's very thoughtful of you Elly"

To which Elly pouted "I'm always thoughtful"

"Yeah yeah"
