Chapter 178
Lucy took another glance at her brother but did not speak a word as she watched him have his breakfast. Her brother, Gavin, was unusually silent. Usually, he would speak to her and make sure to converse with her until he left the house, today, he was shockingly quiet. He did not even spare a glance at her or even Ginnie who was having her breakfast with them.
Lucy raised her brows questioningly when she met Ginnie's eyes and the woman just shook her head in response. She too could not comprehend what was wrong with the man and why he was behaving differently than usual.
Even when Gavin left the house for the day, he did not speak a word, not even a word of goodbye, leaving the two women staring at the carriage until they could not see it anymore.
"Sister Ginnie, is something wrong with brother?" Lucy queried, unable to see her brother's silent behavior.
