Chapter 4: Rage

SUMMER ENDS; A WEEK LATER

Alice!!, Be fast about it, my mum yells as I pack my hair in a ponytail. Mum I'm almost done I yell. The drive was quite fast and I found myself in front of my new school, Winston's high. I took in all that fresh air and waved mum goodbye.

My first class was history, which was boring, best way to describe it. Cause the teacher went on and on. I felt like I was going to die but what else could possibly happen.



It was fun meeting new people though. I met a new friend and her name's Victoria. She seems somewhat like a nerd, but if you get to know her she's not.

LATER IN THE DAY

I get home and feel so exhausted, just then mum steps in and asks me, young lady, why the look on your face? I replied telling her that I was just exhausted. Then she said okay, I guess it's first day of school and you're trying to adjust. Yeah mum was all I could mutter.

It was 9:56pm when I finished my homework and made straight for bed. I sleep off and see this white wolf this time more larger appears in my dream. But this time I was in love with this wolf it had this charming blue-green eyes I fell deep into.



I tried to move towards it to just find out I was frozen like stuck. Then it runs towards me and lick my face, suddenly I felt this sharp pain on my arm. Soon I felt pleasure, then this wolf left me. I woke up thanks to my alarm. Surprisingly, my window was open and I saw fur stuck at the edges, that same white fur I saw in my dreams. I left it though and went to have my shower then I notice this mark on my arm. Like a tattoo of a wolf.



I was shocked, perplexed, there was no word that could describe how shocked I was at that moment. How did I get the tattoo. Then suddenly, someone answers me saying when your mate marked you. I turned around and searched for the person who talked to me but found none then that voice comes again and says oh sorry I didn't introduce myself, I am Kira, your wolf, I'm in your head talking to you so you don't need to look around silly. I slapped myself repeatedly to make sure I wasn't dreaming then she said you'll be late for school, but I promise to explain things better to you on the way. Please don't freak out.

I didn't have a choice also than not freak out.

I quickly slipped out of the shower and into my clothes. I went downstairs for my breakfast cause I felt sooo hungry. I ate my favorite cereal Fruit Crunches but I wasn't satisfied so I ate another and another till mum said lady you're gonna be late, leave that and pick some snacks cause I'm wondering what's eating so much in you. I just smile also wondering why I'm so hungry.

I jump into the car, then the voice came back to me. Hey, Alice like I said earlier I'll explain on the way. How are you talking to me I ask myself wondering, then the voice says cause I'm in your head and I am your wolf, Kira. Okayyy, soooo I said. Alice, you are a werewolf before she could finish I cut in asking how's that possible, I thought that was only fairytale and yeah what about the tattoo cause I got to get it off.

Alice, that's impossible, your mate marked you yesterday. You remember your dream last night right? Kira asked, yeah I said. Good it wasn't a dream, it was actually real. What?? The howls and growls all real. Wait are you for real now I asked. Why would I lie to you Kira said. See, Alice this is not wonderland but reality . You remember the guy in school, who threw a note at you asking if you were the newbie, the one with the piercing blue-green eyes? Yeah, you know his kinda cute and has this lemon and caramel scent I am actually drawn to, I said. Alice, he's your mate, he's the wolf that marked you and you had this tattoo. Whattttttt? I say surprised. Yeah.

Wait, what's a mate, what do you mean by marked, im totally confused right now. Mhhmh, you see a mate is like a for forlife boyfriend or husband for the rest of your days, and marked, like bit you to give a sign to others that you're his. You know, to show ownership. Buttt...., Alice no buts, she cuts in.

You're at school already, get down, oh I said and Kira was gone

THREE PERIODS LATER

I and those blue-green eyes meet again this time I'm lost in his scent and eyes forgetting to pay attention in class. My name was called for over six times I didn't even hear until Victoria tapped me. That's when I came to my senses then the next thing I was given detention. Surprisingly, he was also given detention.

We served detention together peering into each other's eyes till he walked up to me. Hey, the name's Elliot, he said. All I could do was stare, till he touched my hands, then I was back to reality. Then he asks me my name. Alice is the name, I said as I continued day dreaming, then suddenly he pecked me which sent goosebumps wild all over my body.

I wanted him to do it again, i wanted more till Kira came into the picture talking about how soft his lips were and how his peck brought her alive.

While I was listening to Kira, he had drawn my face closer and started kissing me all I could do was retaliate. I didn't understand this strange feeling and drawing towards him. The kissing fiesta continued until Mackenzie shows up clapping her hands. We both stop abruptly and I turn away.

So, it was because of this little slut, you got detention and now you're here kissing her. Thank goodness I already got a cool pic of the kiss I'm going to post and make your lives miserable. Mackenzie is one of the cool and mean girls at school. And she does whatever she wishes. I go on my knees begging her not to post the pic but she says no and start walking out of the class, I chase after her but she cut me off. I go back to the classroom and start crying wishing the kiss never happened then I smell the same lemon and caramel scent that filled my head and felt this touch that sent tingles through, then the piercing voice asking me not to cry that he would take care of Mackenzie. Then last thing he says is mate.

I clean my tears and asked him why he said mate and he said because I'm his mate and he has already marked me. I remembered what Kira said and just smiled trying to keep my cool.

He leaves me in the classroom, promising we'll talk later.

A WEEK AFTER

I get to school and everybody was giving me this look, with scorn on their face. Then, Victoria grabs me by the hand and shows me the pic, asking me how I got into such mess, then I tell her everything that transpired amidst tears.

AT THE CAFETERIA

I was eating snacks with Victoria when Mackenzie walks towards me and spills her drink on me I get to furious and on standing I felt this inner anger which I could tell was from Kira them all I could do was run out of school into the big garden then seat by the stream then I notice my eye color deepening, my nails growing, then my top started ripping then I felt those warm lips on my neck, then I suddenly come calm. Falling into his arms, after two minutes I regain conscious and see Elliot, I asked him to go out of my life that I never wanted to see or speak to him again then he said he was sorry and started going when I said Elliot, please don't go, then he turns and come back kneeling beside me, I became lost in those eyes again, then another kissing booth opened. He kisses my tattoo and it sends several vibrations and feelings through me. He takes off his jacket and asks me to wear it since my cloth was ripped at the back.

Then the next thing he said was, mate, you'll need to learn to control your wolf. All I could say was ok. Then we walk back to school for the rest of the periods. He kisses me goodbye and I go home.
