Chapter 179: Isach: Asking for Help

Chloe, Trent, Sean, Colt, Abby, and I returned to the cabin sooner than I'd originally anticipated. I'd sent a fire message to Heaven Leigh before I opened the portal that took us out of Michigan. Now, she and the rest of my coven were waiting for us, all of them gathered on Chloe and Trent's front lawn.

While I was immensely grateful for their loyalty and help in this situation, I was exhausted. I didn't want to be their leader. I didn't want a seat on the royal coven council. I didn't want to have to keep constantly fighting and plotting. I simply wanted to enjoy my life with Abby. I wanted to have a baby with her, and then I wanted us to become vampires so we could have our eternity of happily-ever-after. But with each day that passed, we faced yet another crisis. I was beginning to wonder if Abby and I would ever get the chance to have a semi-normal life.

"Isach." Heaven Leigh nodded at me, and I smiled in return. "You look tired."
