An hour later, we returned to the castle. During our travels back, Gregory spoke to his personal guards about our plans, and just as he'd said, they were more than willing to side with us. Their loyalty to the prince was impressive. They even offered to speak with some of the other guards, and Gregory gave them the permission to do so.

"Prince Gregory. Ladies." Lawrence bowed as we entered the castle. "The king and queen are awaiting your return. Dinner will be served shortly."

"Thank you, Lawrence," Gregory said with a dismissive nod.

The four of us strode through the castle and straight up to the king and queen's suite, where we'd eat dinner with them in their formal, private dining room. My stomach was in knots, and I had no appetite, but I had to pretend for the sake of my sister and Jax. And I'd put on the best damn show anyone had ever seen, because I was not going to allow King Draven to win. Not again.
