All Alone

I went to work pretty early because of the previous day I skipped work. I felt pretty better because of the enough rest and sound sleep I had over the night. It really made me feel better.

Everything went really well and all the presentations were done smoothly. I decided to take a little break cause I started to feel a numb pain in my legs. I was already packing to leave for the cafeteria when the office line rang. I hesitated at first because the line was meant for only Hayden's business and emergency calls. I picked the phone and put them gently in my ears. All of a sudden, I heard a manly voice talk through the line.

My heart skipped a beat, my face flushed with excitement. I was starting to guess who it was and I prayed it was really him. I was still contemplating about who it was when I heard my nickname which Hayden knew .

"Natty I am so sorry to bother you this afternoon most especially the fact that I went on a business trip for the past three weeks without telling you a single thing about it", but I didn't see that coming cause it came unplanned, he said softly.

Everything was silent for some while because I didn't know whether I was to be happy or sad so I remained silent till he continued talking.

*Hey I said I am so sorry and I promise to make it up to you that's the main reason I am inviting you for lunch now and it's not gonna be a no cause am commanding you to come right now", he said strictly with a glimpse of softness and hanged up.

I was feeling a little bit angry with the way he talked to me but all I cared about was to see his cute face. I would be lying if I say I didn't enjoy watching his cute face and admiring him unawares. I also loved his domineering personality so much.

After battling with my thoughts I left to his office which was just few steps from mine. I got there in no time and knocked gently on his door, till his cool voice told me to come in.

Immediately I entered into his office the first thing that welcomed me was the smell strawberry which was actually what Hayden smelled like. Everything felt awkward and I started to feel my legs shaking. Those three weeks felt like three months or even three years. He looked too cute for someone to be annoyed at most especially when his hair is packed in a puff style.

I was getting attracted to him pretty soon, pretty fast, a part of my heart was telling it's love and another part warning me of getting my heart broken again.

The awkwardness was too much!!!!
