Shito looked up and noticed that the same girl that stood up earlier was talking to him again. Not only did she not let him finish, but she was also still trying to argue that chantless spells are the fastest spells.
"Hou…. then tell me from your own perspective—how is the best is spell system is chantless?" Shito asked, staring at the woman, Alice who was standing in the back of the classroom.
"That's because the textbook said that was the answer. Even if it is based on someone else experience, which is still the fastest method because it was proven that mostly everyone stopped using the other chantless methods."
Shito sighed, looking at the woman who was still trying to debate with him. It wasn't going to go anywhere if he didn't prove to her that his answer was the right answer.
"All right, all right. Hit me with the best spell you can muster up…. You can use chantless if you want to, but I will be using the magic formation."
Most of the students in the class gasped loudly. They didn't understand why he would pose such a thing to the girl. Based on the textbooks everyone knew what the answer was, but they didn't want to tell their sensei that he was wrong about what he was teaching. After all, to them, he was just a boy around the same age as them.
Alice continued to stare at the teacher before getting up out of her seat. She was going to prove that he was wrong and the best way for her to do that was to beat him at his own game. To her, the teachers' statements were wrong because of what they learned from the test books.
Sticking her hand out, Mana started to fill her head. She was using the spell fireball but—
"You have already lost so you can stop channeling your mana now."
"H—, Huh…. What the—...!?"
Before anyone could even sense what he did, a couple of three-dimensional magic formations had already formed around her body.
Alice noticed the formations that were by her face and slowly faced the teacher. She was using chantless magic, but she still lost to someone that was supposed to take their time with drawing out a magic circle.
"You are probably wondering how I did that." Shito walked around the classrooms before snapping his figure displaying his magic. "My spell will always be faster than yours, no matter which chanting method you use. It's not because I'm stronger than you, it's because I'm faster than you; I have gained more knowledge than you. Before you interrupted me earlier, I was going to tell you that speed matters when chanting. Anyone that uses chantless magic can get a spell two times faster than a person that uses the other methods, and magic formations and chants are around the same speed."
Turning her head around, Lucia looked at Alice who was staring at her teacher, admiring the things he was teaching. The knowledge he was spreading was something that the teachers never taught them, all the humans thought that chantless magic was the best magic to use, but in reality, it didn't hold a candle to the other method of magic the long-forgotten method that history books didn't have…
"Are you not going to teach us about the other method of getting off a spell… I'm sure that with your knowledge you could tell us that…"
Hearing those words, Shito intuitively knew the person who was talking. The last hero, Lucia Komeiji was the person that said those words. She lived countless lives dating back to tens of thousands of years ago, so she had explored the world and learned the forgotten method years ago.
"Of course, I was going to tell the class about the last method. First, let me go ahead and tell you that chantless magic isn't the fastest magic."
"Even if you say something like that, something that is above chantless magic is completely impossible based on the textbo—"
"He already said we weren't going to be basing our classes off of the textbook," Alice swiftly interrupted, "So saying something that is from the textbooks is most likely not going to be the right answer in this class, isn't that right, sensei?"
After what happened to her before, she completely understood everything he was saying and wanted to learn more about the things that he knew about.
"That's right…. Nothing from the textbooks was written about the chanting methods I'm going to tell you about… no it would be easier to say that the spell doesn't exist anymore."
But if the method was something that was forgotten long ago then how did Shito know about it? The answer was simple. All of the knowledge he received before sealing his memories and knowledge was the reason, he had the spell. It was something he needed to keep with him in order for him to survive in the world of mages. Even though he was strong, he wanted to get his spells off fast to kill his opponents faster.
"Nonverbal chanting was actually the best spell to use since as you know chantless magic weakens the magic depending on the person that's using the spell."
Nonverbal chanting was probably the strongest one to use. It was faster than chanting the spell aloud since the spells could be mumbled, making the spells stronger than chantless spells. Although chantless spells were the fastest spells to use for beginners they reduced the spells by a huge amount.
Shito liked to yell out some of his spells because it made him seem cooler, but that didn't mean he was required to use the chants.
Tenka opened her mouth, "But there are conditions, right? Some of us know that the chants don't really matter when you are strong enough to bypass those limits. Nonverbal magic might be the strongest magic to use for beginners, but for someone like you, any chanting method would be the best."
"Well, you are right about that. Anyone of the spells I use is going to be strong, but let's put that aside for now, and let's get into what happens when we break the magic incantation into parts."
Shito walked to the blackboard and started writing something on the board with the piece of chalk.
'O, great wind spirits, become one with me and devastate the enemy before me!'
Those were the words that he wrote on the blackboard.
"Isn't that the basic magic formula for the wind element?" Alice asked, admiring the sight of Shito as he was teaching them.
"What will happen if I break this spell into sections? Or for that matter, what would happen if I decided to take out some of the words in this spell?"
Shito turned his head around, staring at the students that were looking at him in shock. Most of the students were looking at him because they didn't know what would happen if they decided to break it into the
But a couple of students were waiting for him to give the answer. One was Lilith and she already knew the answer, but she didn't want to tell them the answer anything at the moment since the teacher could probably explain it better. Another was Lucia and she knew about it from the countless lives they lived. The others were Tenka and her daughters, Illayaka and Illya Mahinu, they were sitting there listening to Shito talk with the class. All of them knew the answer, but they didn't want to say anything.
On the other hand, Alice sat looking at the teacher with her eyes full of light. She wanted a teacher who could teach her and push her forward in life, but even after coming to the school, the teachers had nothing to tell them, now that her teacher was smart, she wanted to find a chance to talk to him.
"Well, the spell is going to go through different stages," Shito thrust his hand out, aiming the palm of his hand at the classroom, "O, great wind spirits, become one with me and devastate the enemy before me!"
After saying that, A small vortex of wind formed in the classroom, blowing gusts of wind all over the classroom.
"Kyaaaaaaaaaa!"
"Uaaaaaaaaaaa!"
The gusts of wind were not strong because he was keeping his power at a minimum to make sure he didn't harm his students. So, the class yelling was not really necessary, in fact, it was annoying because he didn't like how loud they were being. But they were his students, so he kept his calm expression and continued his lesson.
'O, wind spirits, become one with me, and blow away, the enemy before me!'
He changed some of the words from the incantation and also took out some of the words.
"If you do this the spell isn't really going to do too much damage."
Saying that, Shito struck one of the students in the front row with the spell that was written on the board.
However, the student didn't feel any pain. No, it wasn't because he didn't feel any pain it was because it blew past him. If he had put a little power into it, he would've hurt his students, but the spells were different because, with the other spell, it still would've felt his insides being crushed.
"Well, if you understand that you should know what would happen… if you started to break it down further, but that would be something for us to talk about some other time."
"Huh? The class hasn't ended ye—...!"
*Ring* the bell rang, dismissing class for the rest of the day. They were already done with the lesson since if they wanted to explore what he just taught them then they could do it on their own time.
About all of the students got up out of their seats, rushing out of the doors so they could hurry up and go home. But six people were left in the room with Shito still standing by the blackboard, erasing the things that he wrote on the board.
"Well, what are you still doing here, Lilith, Lucia, and Alice?"
