An Unknown Intruder

Time passed and in roughly 20 minutes, he had cleaned and stitched himself up, closing all of his wounds.

Naturally, it would roughly take at least a two weeks for an ordinary human to heal from such injury if it wasn't stitched up but if stitched up, it would approximately take about a week.

But Ryver's vitality point had reached an intense level. Vitality point of ten bestows him the Physique and vitality of ten men combined. Which signified his healing rate is ten times faster than a normal human.

He estimated his wounds will heal within 24 hours. Infact, he could feel his skin itching and twitching as his cells rapidly worked to replace the broken ones. His body had already started healing on its own, but it was quite disturbing.

Ryver tapped and held a spot below his ear, on his neck. "Call Yvonne."

He pursed his lips and gently limped to the door, locking it tightly. He then took a thin thread, tied it to the door and connected it to a glass cup, balancing the glass cup by it's edge, he placed it on the glass table he had moved closer.

After making all of the necessary preparations, Ryver lied on top of the bed and his gloomy blue eye closed. His breathing slowed and his body temperature slowly reduced as he sank into a strange state of sleep. The pistol was placed at his feet, and his left arm was lightly laid atop of the combat knife.

In Ryver's opinion, the time he was awake was one world, and the time he spent asleep was a different world altogether, neither was meant for rest. This world of darkness would at times be peaceful, and at times one of clamoring and fragmented monstrosities. When awake, most of these fragments would fade from his memory.

In new environments, Ryver's sleep would normally be extremely light. This signified that he would be in a quiet and dreamless state of sleep that would enable him to react to any small changes which was extremely helpful to him during missions. This company was definitely a new environment, and as such, Ryver was relatively cautious when asleep.

Once again, today was not a night without dreams. Ryver once again sank into the dark, gory realm of dreams.

He was suddenly trusted into a grey world, and everything in his line of sight was arippling grey figures l. It was as if this entire world was immersed within a grey kind of firmament, clear but unclear. Through the rippling light, he could see countless faces, they seem to be working in something which was in a flat surface. Those faces belonged to humans but to Ryver they seem more like monsters to him. These faces appeared before him one after another, and their lips opened and closed, creating clashing sound waves. It was as if they were repeatedly saying something, but it wasn't to him, but at each other. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't understand a word.

He was like an unmoving doll, just lying flat on the bed, unable to move even the slightest. Whenever a face appeared over him, an intense hatred clouded Ryver's mind, but he was unable to do anything as his body was being poked, removed, tested and replaced.

Numbness, itchiness, and aching covered him seemingly endlessly, inflicting upon him a pain that made him want to tear his body apart!

These faces would mostly appear once, with only a select few emerging more than two times. There were only two that appeared more than twice. However, no matter which face it was, they were all blurry and unrecognizable. As a result, Ryver had no idea whether he had encountered any of those faces before.

The dreams repeated themselves, and when he woke up, they would fade from his memory. As a result, Ryver never really knew what he experienced within those dreams.

This time, his dream had not continued for its full duration when it was interrupted by an outside source.

A signal immediately triggered within the depths of Ryver's mind, and ten messages immediately spread throughout his body. As a result, his body suddenly shifted as he moved 90° on bed,

He stood up, and his left hand gripped the pistol, his right hand gripped his combat blade, hiding it underneath the covers as he pointed his pistol forwards with lightning-like reflexes into the uninvited guest's skull.

This string of movements were carried out in an extremely fast manner, and only when the gun was aimed at its target did Ryver's eyes snapped open. In the darkness, his eyes glowed with an eerie blue light. This was a true light from his eyes, as well as his sharp gaze.

"Who are you?" Ryver said in a low voice. His deliberately suppressed tone together with his naturally soft voice added even more chill to the environment. On the other hand, the almost twenty centimeter long pistol was greatly in sync with that smooth voice.

Ryver had long since destroyed the safety lock on the gun, and the gun point made it quite clear that it could easily shatter the brains of even a human with 4 times physique, from this distance, without missing. The gun in his hands swayed in rhythm to the intruder's slight body movement made by his breathing. It was aimed at right at the intruder's skull, point blank.

This was not something a normal human could do, Ryver's accuracy with the pistol was definitely insane. His hands were stable, his breathing slow and his finger in the trigger. Just a soft squeeze a millimeter back and the intruder' a head would be blown off

The head in front of the gun seemed rather fragile and weak. After seeing this individual's face, even less men would want to immediately pull the trigger.

The intruder was a young lady, wearing a tactical gas mask but from the transparent cover, Ryver could clearly see her face, this was an extremely beautiful lady and from her outer appearance, she didn't seem to have reached twenty years of age yet. Under the harsh conditions of the toxic radiation, the skin would have had a few wrinkles on them, making one look much older than their actual age, so she might be even younger than eighteen.
