Villain becomes the Main Character

In process of rewriting (including unreleased chapters). Why? Because I suck at writing novels. ---- Weekly chapters on every Wednesday! ---- "People say the closest things are the greatest." "Yes, I can certainly agree with that now." "The system is certainly really close." "And I will be with it, forever." "And become the strongest." "And achieve anything while the black travels with me..." Archehon looked up to the black sky. "With a normal, generic ending." --- The protagonist is called 'Lucifer' and was the fourth strongest in his previous life and was a villain. One day, he by mistake encounters an individual who was the Main Character and kills him. To his surprise, he dies and gets reincarnated into the body of the guys descendant two hundred years later. He gains a system (yes, I know it's overused but I have my twists) with the skill- [Main Character]. Watch his journey to becoming the strongest in the world and uncovering- oops, can't say that. Anyways, just read it. Things to know: I don't release a ton of chapters a day since I want to not make my stories total garbage. Word count: 1500+ per chapter.

Class

Mystic's smile erased from her face and turned serious.

".. what do you think a hero's duty is?"

The class was puzzled by her question. A lot of them looked at each other and wondered what she even meant.

Wasn't it obvious?

It's a hero's duty to protect the innocent civilians and defeat the villains.

Mystic smiled a little then spoke, "Okay. How about you at the back? What do you think?"

She pointed at a boy in the back.

"Um, isn't it to defeat villains while protecting the weak-"

"Wrong. How about you?", she pointed at another student.

"To protect civilians."

"Wrong."

Another student,

"To use your strength only for good."

"Not quite."

Another, another.. another..

Mystic grew tired and was about to stop asking until she saw another student near the front.

Archehon glanced at Mystic before turning away until she asked him.

"How about you? What do you think a hero's duty is?", she looked at him.

Archehon replied.

"To prevent any danger from occurring."

She smiled more.

"Correct. A hero's duty isn't only to protect the weak and defeat villains, but to prevent any danger from happening, at all."

"Let me tell you something, class. The answers you have given me until this point were only a means, not a duty or goal. Of course, this may have never happened but will always be the top priority."

"Anyways, I hope everyone remembers that~", Mystic went back to her carefree attitude.

Buzz-buzz!-

She felt a ring on her ear.

"Ah, yes.. okay.. okay.", she whispered secretively while listening to someone from the wireless earphones.

"It seems like some work has come up for us. Unfortunately, we will have to leave now.", she showed a slightly sad look.

"Haha, no problem, ma'am. We understand you have to attend to your duties.", Mr. Oakton smiled and waved as the two heroes exited the room.

While Mystic exited, she smiled at Archehon for a couple of seconds.

'What? Was she smiling at me?', Archehon thought deeply until his connection with the outside world was regained after the teacher spoke.

"I hope that was helpful for you students."

"Now, to get to the point, I will have to make sure you have all chosen your fighting style. For the next week, make sure to think well of this as this will be something you'll stick to until you graduate."

Click-

The teacher clicked his fingers and a sheet fell onto the table, in front of each student.

"I want everyone to register what weapon and Od ability they're using. If anyone is a magician or spirit user, make sure to put that in the Od section and any other questions, do ask me during class."

End of class...

Archehon walked out of the class.

'Hm.. the issue here is that I have no Od ability. And, as for my main weapon, it's a spear and dagger, which are completely different weapons. Should I adapt and try to incorporate my daggers knowledge with my spears? No, I shouldn't- hm?'

Archehon was interrupted by his thoughts as he saw a familiar face from a while back.

There was a blonde-haired girl who walked with a couple of other girls.

"Huh?", Linda looked at Archehon startled as she walked past him.

She gazed at him for a few seconds before quickly turning away as her cheeks went red.

'What..?'

Archehon's eyes widened.

'<Linda: 40 hearts>'

'Fourty? Forty hearts?! How is that possible? I haven't even spoken with her. Wait a minute. I think I remember her..'

Archehon looks at her face as she continues to walk away, behind him.

"Face. She's from the store I went to before registering as a mercenary-", he muttered to himself before being cut off by the system.

'<Story quest created!>'

'<Story quest: < p>

Mission: Increase Linda's Relationship status to [Seventy-five hearts].

Reward: [Five Points] + [Linda's Trust]

Time limit: 09:23:59:56

Penalty - Failure of mission will result in the hosts [Relationship Status] with Linda decreasing by Twenty-five points. >'

Archehon observed the dark-blue screen closely.

'Not bad..'

He closed the screen and looked towards the back of Linda, on the other side of the corridor while she walked with her friends.

"I guess.."

Malicious smiles were painted all over his face as he hid it.

".. I have to put my acting skills to work."

Later..

Archehon arrived at his next class- Magic class.

He opened the door, and unsurprisingly, there were only around seven students. The students looked towards Archehon with a look of hunger as if they were overjoyed to see another student. When a person would look at them, they would've looked like they were trapped in a basement for months.

He ignored their looks and sat in an empty seat at the front.

'Hmm.. to think that there are only this many students in a magic class. I don't understand why this is the case?'

'Magic has eight different ranks- ranging from first circle to eighth circle which is the strongest. The thing is that the eighth circle was so powerful that the person who wielded it, was almost undefeatable.'

'In my past life, there was an eighth circle magician who worked for the hero organisation. Partly thanks to him, even the strongest villain organisation, the firsts, couldn't even take down the hero organisation.'

'That old bastard..', he thought of an old man with a beard covering half of his face while holding in his annoyance.

"Hello, class."

The teacher walked in and smiled. She looked like she was in her sixties and quite healthy. She had green eyes and held a book to her chest.

"I'm your teacher, Mrs. Sunderland, and I'll be in charge of you all for the year."

"In today's class, I want to get to know everyone. How about everyone introduces themselves and also says an hobby?"

The first person gets up. She had green hair and was slightly familiar.

She smiled as she said, "My name is Vera. I love taking care of plants as a hobby. I hope we can get along."

A girl with red hair stood up, "My name is Roza and I enjoy battling."

"My name is Drifa and I enjoy meditation.", the girl from the weapons class introduced herself.

A few others also finish introducing themselves and it was the last person's turn.

"My name is Archehon and I don't really have a hobby."

"Oh, that's fine. You don't need to have a hobby, Archehon.", Mrs Sunderland smiled.

"Now that everyone has finished, I thought that we'd have this lesson as a free period. Everyone in the class can do any kind of training themselves as long as it helps them progress in magic."

She sits down on her chair then reads a book.

The rest of the class starts to do their own training.

'Hmm.. I might as well do some Mana Cultivation.'

Archehon crosses his legs and starts absorbing the mana from his surroundings.

The blue particles sparkled into his body.

One hour later...

'<Mana: 42-->43>'

'Phew..', Archehon sweated after continuously meditating.

'System.. show my status window.'

'System

'<Unused 8 stat points:>'

'Invest the the rest of the stat points into Stamina.'

'<Stamina: 17--->25>'

'Still slow in progress but I'll get there.'

Archehon opened up the system window again.

'Good. My fighting style will focus entirely on using raw mana with my blunt spear and daggers. Stamina will also be vital since I can continue battles for a long time with incredible power.', Archehon finished thinking.

The class was about to end and everyone finished their training.

Mrs. Sunderland finished reading her book and sat up.

"Okay, class. I hope everyone has found this lesson productive. Tomorrow onwards, we will entirely focus on perfecting the basics and history of magic."

"Everyone may leave.", she smiled.

Archehon left the class and finished the rest of his classes.

He continued to walk back to his dorm.

'The rest of my day was just History, General Weapons Class, and lastly, Training class which was only used for anyone's own training. Of course, the only people there were people from the Wanderer Department, other than me.'

He finally arrived at his dorm until he saw inside, were two other visitors.

Atif spoke, "I'm not. Apologizing for anything."

He was being pinned to the wall as Leth and Jareth both surrounded him.

Leth grabbed his collar and said while rage leaked out, "Apologize for walking in James's way."

"No.", Atif kept his ground.
