Chapter 13: Felicia and Cathlia

"Lilyyyy! You have a package"

I rushed downstairs when Mom called me out. Finally, my Ouija board that came along with the wooden planchette arrived today. It took a month and I ordered this board for fun purposes, but as I've read playing the ouija board shouldn't be played for fun.

"Thanks, Mom" I said as I took it away from her hand, examining the package.

"What is that, honey?" mom asked. I slowly turned around her and think of an excuse, "It's a board game, mom. Want to play this with Ivy" I said, faking my laugh. She nodded and I went upstairs, I can't tell Mom that Ivy and I aren't friends now. I opened my room and placed the board on my bed and recklessly opened it. I'm way too excited. Yesterday, I spent my evening, researching about how to call the spirits and how to use the Ouija board. I'm glad I ordered a wooden planchette since I've read that using a plastic planchette isn't going to draw spirits energy.

I grazed my fingers on the board, my ouija board. A sudden notification on my phone, it was Louie. I opened his message and a photo of him with a sage plant in his hands.

"Got one, lily!" I asked Louie to find some sage for safety. Before using an Ouija board, you should have a sage for safety.

"Thanks, louie. Ready for tomorrow?"

"Yeah"

Today is Thursday. I skipped my last class and rushed home to prepare the essentials that is needed to use the Ouija board. I told Louie where is my house to meet me after his class. I told him to skip his class, but he couldn't, can't force him, especially he is a new friend.

"Lily, someone's at the door"

I rushed downstairs, pulled the door and found a ginger haired boy. I stepped back and let Louie come in.

"Mom, this is Louie, a friend. Louie, this is mom"

"Oh, hello" Mom said as she smiled and looked at Louie from the kitchen. Louie shyly smiled, "h-hello, Mrs. Barkley"

"Wait here, I'll take my bag upstairs" I said to Louie as I let him sit on the couch and rush upstairs to take my bag. I check my bag again if I miss anything. I pulled my jeans and hoist my bag.

"Mom, we're going" I said as I rushed downstairs and went to the kitchen to kiss my mom's cheek. "Where you two going? You guys should eat dinner first"

I slowly turned around and smiled, "No need, mom. We are on a hurry. We'll be going to Ivy's house, gonna make our project and I'll be home late so.. Sorry"

Louie's about to speak but I pushed him to the door. I know he would ask me, why we will go at Ivy's house when we agreed on going at the abandoned house.

"It's okay, honey. Be careful you two"

As I shut the door behind, I pulled Louie, "It's just a lie, I need to lie so that she would approve me going out. You shouldn't tell her that me and Ivy aren't friends anymore"

Louie looked at me about to cry, "s-sorry, l-lily"

"Just be cautious" I said as I started walking, leaving him behind. The orange afternoon skies and the quiet neighborhood make me think the neighborhood isn't so bad.

"So, Louie. These are the things you should remember when using the Ouija board, first you should not be anxious. You have to calm yourself and have a clear mind in using it. During it, you shouldn't be scared. You have to be calm"

Louie nodded as we walked to the abandoned house.

"I-I have sage here and candles too" I smiled at Louie, "thanks"

Before we know it, we are already in front of the abandoned house. I glanced at Louie. He was staring at the abandoned house, examining the facade.

"Scared?"

Louie looked at me and shakes his head. "N-No"

I went towards Louie "put that in mind of what I said earlier", Louie fervently nods. I followed the crack pathway and Louie followed me behind. I slowly opened the door and hover my flashlight to the lights to turn the lights on even though it didn't give much light. Louie wandered his eyes around, awed.

Maybe Louie was practicing himself yesterday not to get scared so easily.

"Louie" I called him out as I put my bag down in the couch. "Help me move these furnitures out. We'll do it here" Louie nodded and helped me out. As we finished moving the furnitures, Louie grabbed his bag and pulled the sage plant and burn it and walked around the area.

"With the energy of this sage, I asked the angels to assist me in releasing all negativity, density, and energies that no longer serve, into the light of the Divine."

I told Louie to burn the sage and walked around the area to clear negative entities. As Louie walked around the area, I started to place the candles in a circular form and put the Ouija board in the middle. I lit the candles as Louie finished burning the sage. I put salt in the area to have an insulating barrier. Louie put a paper and a pen in the side of the Ouija board.

I looked at Louie as he sat beside me, "Louie, we'll start now. Clear your mind and let your energy be on the board. When something happened, don't be anxious"

Louie took a deep breathe three times and a nod at me. I took a deep breath and cleared my mind. This is it, I can talk to whoever spirit is here. I placed the wooden planchette in the middle of the Ouija board. I looked at Louie, and he nodded at me, telling me that he is ready.

Louie and I placed our fingers lightly on the edge of the planchette and deliberately circling the planchette in 3 clockwise circles.

"Hello, I'm Lilith and this is Louie. We perform this act tonight with nothing but good and pure intentions. Is anybody here with us? We are ready to talk with you"

Louie and I patiently wait for the planchette to move. Suddenly, the planchette moved to the left, telling us someone is with us.

"How many of you are here?" I asked, waiting for it to move.

The planchette starts to move.

"2"

Two spirits are here with us. I can feel them. I looked at Louie who hurriedly writes the responses.

"What is your name? Could you spell it out for us?"

The planchette slowly move to the

F...E…. L… I...C... I... A...

Louie scribbled the letters as the planchette move.

"Who is with you?" I asked again after Louie jot down.

C.A. T. H… L… I. A

Felicia and Cathlia? I heard Cathlia's name before.

"Hello, Felicia. I've read about your case. If you don't mind me asking, Is it already solved?"

The planchette didn't move, it seemed stop, I didn't move. Louie and my fingers didn't move. As I've known, you should patiently wait for the spirit to answer. Some spirits answered but some of them don't. After a few minutes, the planchette moved to the right.

I knew it, Felicia's case isn't solved. Felicia keep appearing in my dreams and I don't know what kind of message she wants to tell me.

"Everywhere I go, I've seen you. If you don't mind Felicia, why do you keep appearing? "

The planchette suddenly moved but I couldn't understand what she meant.

C.E. H. E. I… J… L… P… S. T. U.

Louie stares at the planchette as it moves to the letters and simultaneously write in on the paper. The letters didn't make sense, I looked again to the board.

"Where are you right now, Felicia?"

The planchette didn't move, I moved to my another question.

'Are you gonna hurt us?"

The planchette moved to the right, "no"

"Do you have any other information you wish to share with us?"

The planchette was still.

"Do you want us to communicate with you again?" The planchette moved to the left, "yes"

That's all the questions I had in mind for Felicia. I have no questions..yet.

"Thank you for your time, Felicia, and we will communicate you again. We appreciate as you joined in the circle. We say goodbye for now. Safe travel back to your realm. Goodbye. "

The planchette moved, "goodbye"

Every time someone is finished using the Ouija board, one must remember to cleanse the area again.I took the sage plant, burned it and let the smoke hit the ouija board. I cautiously wrapped the planchette in a cloth and put it back on a box. Louie stood up and grabbed the other sage plant and cleansed the area again. I moved the furnitures where was it placed before. As we finished, Louie and I sat on the couch. "Can you hand me the paper earlier?" Louie nodded and dug on his pockets. "Here" and he handed me the paper.
