Chapter 19- unexpected

Colby's pov:

I put the phone back under the bed and tried to act normal but of course when anyone tries to act normal you end up looking like a flamingo.

Avi came and barged into the room panicked and then confused. " why do you look painfully constipated?"

I relaxed as she made her comment and just walked past her and down to the office. How am I gonna get the phone now.

So many questions were running through my mind yet I couldn't even answer one. My head started to hurt after a few minutes.

1 hour later .....

I woke up with a stiff neck. I fell asleep on my desk. Again.

Avi woke me up all panicked. " what's wrong?" I ask concerned.

" Chlo's gone into the basement again and I'm too scared to get her. Please help me get her." She asked giving me puppy dog eyes and a desperate look.

"Ye, sure , let's go" I said almost rushing out the door.

We made it outside and to the basement doors. One door was open as wide as it could.

There was only the flickering lights that lead the way. " where about is she?" I finally said confused.

I was in the last cell and it was empty. At that moment the cell door slammed behind me and avi stood back like she didn't know what she was doing.

"What are you doing? Aviana! Are you crazy? Let me out!" I shouted shaking the bars.

" I can't , you know to much. If she found out she.... she ....." she stuttered pacing while stuck in her thoughts.

" what's wrong with you?" I said venom laced in me.

" Nothing is wrong with me!" She shouted pointing the phone at me. I didn't want to make her angry so I had to get her on my side.

" ok ...ok... just calm down and tell me who she is." I asked putting my hands up in surrender.

she looked up at me with a pink nose and red eyes her voice quivering. " my mother ..."

Hold up what... how... who... when.... where... " how's that possible?"

She just laughed and shook her head slightly. "wow! You haven't figured it out yet ? My mother is Medusa! It was all a lie. Everything, is a complete lie. My 'life' is a LIE"

"Medusa !! How your nothing like her. Not in look wise because know one has ever seen her before I thought she was just a myth". I struggled to compose myself.

Medusa is one of the most feared people in the world. She's a gang leader to and a scam artist . No one has seen what she looks like unless she's scared you but even then she where's a disguise. She hides away and apparently works alone but I know that BS!

I don't blame her for hiding. There's a lot of people out there after her. Not for the fact that she has money it's the fact that she knows a lot of shit about a lot of people.

" what has this got to do with me and my gang?" I asked annoyed that I've darken for an enemy.

" well the plan was to wait until she gave me the sign and then I'd be free. But you had to find the phone and unlock it".

" I mean it wasn't that good of a passcode it was '1234' ".

" and how many times did it take you to guess?"

"About 2 hours worth." I mumbled

She laughed as she looked at me lovingly . " I really wish I didn't have to come to this."

" don't do that. Don't say stuff just to lead me on more."

"Look you know about her. And knowing her is ten times worse and I didn't lead you on I still really like you and if you do make it out somehow call me." She said and then turned around and walked away

" they will find me you know. You won't win." I shouted after her.

She locked over her shoulder and said something along the lines of " i know" whatever that means.
