Chapter Five

I stood in front of his office, taking in some calming breath, I have to tell him this, I was sure that this baby would bring us a k together and I just pray that Emily's theory would be wrong, of course, Sam loves me so much even though I understand he just being angry with me now and he would forgive me when he discovers that he was going to be a father. I smiled to myself before walking in, I walked past the receptionist, I think coming unannounced will be the best and I know he wouldn't let me in when my presence would be announced  "Sam please just give me a chance to make everything right" I mattered before going in the elevator the plan now was how I was going to get past his assistant, nobody was going to stop me. "I have to do this"

When I reached the top floor where his office was located, I walked straight to his assistant desk "I'm here to meet Sam" I said keeping a straight me. "Are you here for an appointment Mam". " no, but it is important I see him" she smiled gently at me, of course, she remembered the way I was thrown out last time and I was sure that Sam has given her an order never to let me in. "Sorry mam! I can't allow you in unless you're on appoint..... " Tell that to your ancestors," I said cutting her words out and walking steadily past her "mam! Mam!! She ran after me, dragging me to stop "you're not allowed in there and if you don't stop am calling the security on you"  "Don't you dare touch your firm hands one! And am going in there, is that clear! I pushed her away and walked straight into his office without knocking I pushed the door open. Of course, this was a welcoming sight. Seeing him with the girl he has proposed making out on his desk. I felt a sharp pain in my heart, as I stare at them. Sam broke the kiss immediately he noticed me, he glared at me in shock and surprised  " what the hell! His girlfriend turned to me with the same expression as her lover. I didn't even spare her a glance, my focus was on Sam whose expression has somehow relaxed. "I need to talk to you"  "who are you! Tara yelled at me just then his assistant with some security appears at the door. " sorry sir" she apologizes "she didn't listen to me, seize her! She said stepping aside for the security to take me. I saw Sam raised his palm to halt them but his eyes were still fixed on me, those eyes that I have gotten lost in, those eyes that have started me with love and a lot of emotions. But now! The only thing there was hatred and disgust, how...how I wish that it would be the same, that he would look at me the same way that he always does, just seeing him raised his palm to halt the security brought a little hot and hope within me. Maybe, he was ready to listen and forgive me, maybe this child would change a lot of the negative vibes to positive. " let her be! He ordered, and without a question, they nodded and went out of his office. "Tara! He called standing up to reach to her " Can you give me some minutes" he asked planting a kiss on her forehead then on her lips, she glared at me with anger before nodding and kissing him back. I just couldn't best stare at them was he paying me back? I turned my head away to stare at the window till she shut the door behind her. Sam stood for a while staring at the door before going back to his seat and staring up at me.  "Five minutes," he said glancing at his watch. Just the way he stares at me was making me nervous, I took the chair in front of him. "Sam!  " four...he counts. I took a deep breath knowing that he meant his words but how was I going to tell him "If you just came here to stare at me, I guess you should just walk out"  "Sam! Am pregnant" finally I blurted it out. "Am not surprise" his tone was voided of any emotions and it was killing me "Sam! You're the father of my unborn child" this time he chuckled standing up to stand by the window. 'It now clear, Rebecca! He turned to glare at me "that you're just after my money". " Am not! I wasn't after your money Sam, I was in love with you" I stood to move close to him but he just held up his palm that I should stay where I was. "How can a prostitute be in love with me! he barked " you were never in love with me, you just want my money, that why you here right? Wait" he went to his drawer and brought out his checkbook, describing something down, slip out the sheet, and threw it at me. "Take it, that is two million, just take it and leave me alone!!  " Am not a prostitute Sam, am not and I will never be. Here I brought out  "This is the medical report and evidence that this baby belongs to you, Sam! I called almost in tears "you were the only man that has ever touched me and no one else. That...that day" I breath calming myself to continue. "I was being forced to by my supervisor, he was going to expel me if I didn't do as if he had asked because he saw me the say I was sneaking out from the hotel to see you, you remember that vacation right? He saw me sneaking us to meet you and if I don't want to get expelled I have to...to sleep with him but I didn't Sam you came in immediately.....I couldn't continue as tears flow down my eyes in tears I just slumped in the chair and sobbed.
