Chapter Fifty one

 I stare happily at the design of the building that I have completed, smiling at my victory just then I sharp pierced my abdomen, grabbing a seat nearby I sat waiting for the pain to release, I have grown accustomed to the baby moving but this pain was so intense.

It couldn't be this early, Andrew has told me that I would be expecting my baby at the ending of the month but it was still so early to belabor I took a breath and struggling to my feet, I have to ask Mandy to take me home.

Mum has already arrived at the seventh month of my pregnancy and has thrown a big baby shower for me just last week. I was really happy in having all of them I've and supportive people in my life.

Just as a took a few steps forward, I felt the pain again, the baby was moving restlessly, I stopped placing my hand on my stomach to rub in just as I was expecting Mandy to pop her head into my office with her cheerful smile.

"Are you done....she starts to speak but noticed the pain on my face " what the problem?m?" she asked reaching for me. "I think the baby is moving a lot". " are you in labor,r," she asked with a wide eye fishing out her phone. "I don't think so".

I answered snatching away her phone " you worth so....ouch!! The baby moved again. She gently lowered me to the chair. "It might... " Andrew said that the baby will be due by the end of the month, it's still early"

I cut her off "it okay, you d have to worry, I assured  " You're sure? She asked I just nodded with a smile. "Okay, I will take drive you home" she offered her hand for help but Ignored it, she was just being paranoid. When she drove me home.

I thank her assuring her that I was fine even when she insisted that she would take me in, I don't want anybody to get worried about anything, I managed to hug her and promising to call.

I freshen up and lie down on the bed but the baby was still restless moving around and making the pain increase. I picked up my phone to call Andrew as if he was excepting my call, he picked up immediately "so fast? I asked " must busy with my phone" he replied "Any problem? He asked, " Umm.. I'm feeling very restless and the pain".

"You should come to the hospital right now, take someone with you". " But... You said it might ending, I felt the pain again and clenched my teeth so tightly, was I in labor "okay, I will be there in an hour" I disconnected putting on my dress before walking out everyone was occupied with something and I don't want to bother them maybe it was a trivial thing, I'll just go on my own".

Boarding a taxi, I drive to the hospital. Andrew did a few check up on me before declaring that the baby was coming early, I was in labor  "But... You have to wait for few hours to push the baby, for now, just keep calm and continue breathing in and out enough air when the pain grew intense, everything will be fine, I'll make a call back home for someone to come and stay with you, he left me in the hand of a nurse before going.

The struggle and the pain weren't something to write about for some time I feel like I was going to die, sometime I just screamed allowed, and snapped at mum who comforting all the while.

Within a few hours, I was in the labor room pushing my baby. It felt like something I couldn't any longer, the pain was intense that the only thing that keeps me going was mum encouraging words and my baby life just at the last moment I felt as if I wasn't going to make it, I heard my baby melodic cry.

The pain was washed out immediately with happiness and relief and the only thing, I wanted was to hold my baby in my arms. "It's a girl! Andrew announced nothing made me happier than even my baby was gently pushed into my arms. Tears of joy slide from my eyes as I held her, she was so beautiful as the early sunrise " I love you sunny" I muttered cuddling her in my arms.

"Mummy loves you". I broke when they took her away from my arms to get her cleaned up, I don't want her to be away from me, I just want to hold her in my arms and sing a sweet lullaby to her, I couldn't believe I was a mother of such a beautiful being.

When I waked up, Emily, aunt, mandy, and Nancy came to see me and the baby. I was so enjoyed when I saw Nancy, she traveled all the way here to see me. I cried into her arms " I've missed you so much" I weep "me too" we hugged each other for eternity "I told you, it going to be a girl"  I watched Emily moved to the baby's cradle "hi! Sunny you see your Godmother is always right" I watched to joy and laughter of everyone in the room, I was so happy for having them in my life.

People who were there to share my laughter and sorrow, to help me in my downfall, and share in my success. if not for them, I wouldn't have made it this far.

Andrew came later to check on me and my baby "how are you doing" he asked to examine the baby,  "I feel more than happy not only because of having my baby more also for having people that love and care for me, I shut my eyes for some minute  " Thanks for your support, I couldn't have been able to make it this far too without you" you don't need to, I'll be always there if you need my help" he stared at the baby again "Sunny! Such a beautiful name" Everything seems happy and perfect.
