As Hunter wrapped up the last bit of work for the day, all he could think about was having dinner with Delilah and hopefully convincing her to spend the evening cuddled up, watching TV together, and sharing a bed.
A quick glance at his watch confirmed that it was past work hours, and she would most likely be on her way home already.
He stood, ready to pack his things and leave, when a knock sounded at his office door. Before he could respond, Fred stepped in.
"I'm sorry to interrupt, but you have a visitor," Fred said, a note of uncertainty in his voice.
Hunter frowned. It was unusual for someone to drop by unannounced, especially at this hour. "A visitor? Did they give their name?"
Fred shook his head, looking somewhat perplexed. "No, sir. He wouldn't say. He's a middle-aged man. Seems... insistent."
Curiosity piqued, Hunter nodded. "Alright, Fred, let him in. I'll see what he wants."
