In the City of Crime, one law stands above them all: Only the strongest can live. Fighting is normal, extortion is common, and death is inevitable. Born into a wealthy family yet forced to live in poverty, Kanae Nali vowed to become strong enough to take back what rightfully belonged to her—even if it meant that she had to face the consequences and brave the dangers lurking in every corner. Yet on the outside, just like her mysterious peers, she was no different from the other high school students living their lives to the fullest. “Under the ray of light, my ability will only make me die faster. Under the veil of night, my ability allows me to survive longer.” ____ Story set in fictional city. Any similarities with real world's event is purely coincidence. As the sun rose in the morning, Kanae still felt rather sleepy. She was not used to sleeping with other people inside her room, except during emergencies. It took her some time before she could ignore the presence near her and peacefully enter into the slumber.
When she opened her eyes, it took her a few seconds to realize that she was not in her usual room.
'Oh yeah, I'm in Kevin's room.'
Tilting her head to the side, she could see the young man sleeping beside her. This was the second time she saw his sleeping face near her, and thankfully, it was slightly further this time.
Kevin was still lying down with his eyes closed. His blanket had moved slightly downwards, revealing his neck and parts of his upper body. From her position, she could see his toned muscle as his chest went up and down in systematical rhythm.
'Even when he's sleeping, he's still as good looking as ever.'
