In the City of Crime, one law stands above them all: Only the strongest can live. Fighting is normal, extortion is common, and death is inevitable. Born into a wealthy family yet forced to live in poverty, Kanae Nali vowed to become strong enough to take back what rightfully belonged to her—even if it meant that she had to face the consequences and brave the dangers lurking in every corner. Yet on the outside, just like her mysterious peers, she was no different from the other high school students living their lives to the fullest. “Under the ray of light, my ability will only make me die faster. Under the veil of night, my ability allows me to survive longer.” ____ Story set in fictional city. Any similarities with real world's event is purely coincidence. When they came out of the room, Matt was stunned to see Richard stood not far from Kevin.
"Richard, didn't I tell you not to bother with them again?" Matt asked with a dark expression.
"Don't be so angry, Matt," Richard laughed. "I just have a hearty talk with this little leader. In fact, we have reached an agreement, so you don't have to worry about us so much."
"Agreement?" Kanae asked curiously.
Richard took a good look at Kanae for a moment as he recalled the information he had gathered regarding this young lady. Truth to be told, he felt that this woman was more complicated to handle rather than the man. She might appear more amiable, but he knew that she wouldn't back down so easily.
"Yep, this grandpa won't disturb us anymore," Kevin pointed to Richard with his thumb.
