New Place

A skeleton with a skull shield and a woman in a black robe walked through the forest. The forest was dark, many eyes with hidden intent stared from the darkness, and the howling of wolves could be heard from afar, but they walked nonchalantly, as if strolling through the park.

"This forest was big; we were walking, but we were still inside." Kain looked around. If he was still human, he would be crying in pain right now from the insect's bite, but fortunately for him and unfortunately for the insect, he was a skeleton. But even as a skeleton, he could have felt a tingling sensation when the insect bit him off.

Unknown questions in an unknown place might bring unwanted danger to him and his master, so Kain asked in a low voice.

"Humans were food here, so you can't find any human beings here. They must be hiding somewhere or have become livestock right now," Rose answered solemnly.

"But why are we going here? You are human, right?"

"It's because to them I'm inedible."

"Inedible?" Kain was confused.

"Human was very delicious if they are pure, not touched by magic or virgin, but as a death magic user my flesh was corrupt by dark mana, so I could be poison to them," Rose said, as she slowly undressed the black robe, "But even with that I'm still not safe, so that's why I haven't unsummoned you yet."

Kain nodded, but inside he felt sympathy for humans. He didn't know what kind of life they had. He imagined you sleeping, and when you opened your eyes, you were now being butchered and cooked in the pot while alive.
