Ossus

Ossus was different from other planets. Freely landing on the planet was not allowed. As I received a communication when I neared the planet's far orbit.

"Unidentified spacecraft, this is a restricted Republic world belonging to the Jedi Order. Unauthorized travel is prohibited. Transfer proper authorization or leave the system."

I did not have such authorization.

[Hermes, authorization is unnecessary. This fighter is equipped with a atmosphere rated pulse drive and shielding. All security measures can be bypassed and our stealth technology can hide us from anything they have.]

"I know this ATLAS. However, I should try to be polite."

I answer the transmission, "I am Hermes, a Traveler. I to Ossus after learning this planet's location from Tython's ruins."

There is a pause for 30 seconds before I get a response.

"Hermes, you've been authorized to land. Special permission to land at the Jedi Temple Spaceport."

Jedi?

[You've attracted the attention of the resident Force Monks. Mentioning Tython did get you entry, but got you attention too.]

"Doesn't matter ATLAS. By luck or misfortune I have not encountered the famous Jedi in all my travels thus far. A good opportunity to catalogue them."

I flew to the spaceport and landed my fighter with no complication.

There were...Jedi waiting outside the pad. At least they looked like Jedi.

[Gaining accaees to Ossus holonet. Holonet is connected to Republic holonet. Downloading all information. Download complete in 5 seconds.....data downloaded. Jedi identities verified.]

"Excellent as always ATLAS. Time to greet our hosts."

I transmat outside my fighter, startling the Jedi and spaceport workers that were around. Such technology is unknown to them.

I walk to the Jedi and introduce myself.

"I am Traveler Entity Hermes."

The lead Jedi is an older human male. White and gray hair, advanced bone age. Vitality is high despite aged appearance.

He says, "I am Master Kyn Kand, member of the Jedi Council. Your mention of coming from Tython is of importance to us. The planet was lost as the hyperlanes changed, shifted around. It's location is important to us."

"Tython is still uninhabitable by delicate lifeforms such as yourselves. The planet's recovery is ongoing and being unimaginably enhanced by Force energy, but will still take thousands of years. Going now will only result in shifting through ruins of a mostly dead world."

Kyn frowns, "You sound like you've spent a lot of time there? How did you survive?"

I gesture to myself, "This suit allows me to survive anywhere."

He smirks, "Fair enough. The council will like to speak with you in the council room. We'd appreciate if you'll accept our invitation."

"I'm happy to oblige.", I say and Kyn smiled.

I followed him to the council room. Within were 12 seats. All filled besides Kyn's. Jedi guards are around the room.

Most of them are humans, only two are not human. One Twi'lek, and a Miralian. Kyn took his seat in the middle of them.

"Allow me to reintroduce myself Hermes. I am Grandmaster Kyn Kand. I would like to hear about yourself and Tython. Such as, what you are and who you are. There is a mention of you we managed to get ahold of from Hutt Empire data. It said you were from beyond the galaxy and over and stopped counting your age when you hit a billion years. That data entry was thousands of years old already. You even look exactly the same."

I say, "The data is true. How'd you come up with it so quickly."

Kyn smiles, "It is a hobby to pay attention to space traffic. The Force guided my hand to the information we had on you."

I stiffen a bit and Kyn notices. He raises an eyebrow, "Is the Force a sensitive topic for you."

I have no reason to withhold, "The Force has simple sentient intelligence with a galactic perspective. Sure, it keeps balance and makes sure the machine runs smooth. However, it's methods are childish even if they do get the job done. You natives are all toys it sets up on the floor. It uses you without care for your durability and if need be, replace you with a new toy. Being influenced in any way with the Force while its development is still child-like...is foolish. You'll get burned."

The other masters seem to take some offence. Kyn is thoughtful

"How do you know?", Kyn asks me.

"Deep analysis of the reality fabric of the galaxy. The intelligence resides in a higher dimension and can't manifest in ours. It can only plan, be ghostly, and choose champions.", I answer.

A pot then flies towards me, hitting my deflector shield. The masters are all bewildered.

I shrug, "See, childish. Doesn't even realize it is treating you all like toys. Easily insulted."

Kyn rubs his face, "Alright Hermes. Let us get to the Tython topic before you...agitate the Force more."

I shrug, "Fine, Typhon is early stages of recovery from whatever war happened there. Damage is special since it involved using the Force in war. The planet is saturated in Force energy, allowing an incredibly speedy recovery. However, a full recovery will still take thousands of years. Only reason to return now is to explore ruins and dig up skeletons."

The Twi'lek mmaster asks, "How did you find Tython? The hyperspace lanes no longer go to Tython."

I answer truthfully, "My spacefaring technology does not use hyperspace. I do not rely on hyperspace lanes for travel. I encountered the planet while traveling to the galactic core."

A human female asks, "Do you happen to know a hyperspace lane anyways?"

I nod, "I do know lane you could use. However, I will not divulge it. The Force intelligence may be child-like, but it is still a god. As it is omni-everything. I won't interfere in it's plans. The Jedi are not meant to rediscover Tython just yet."

Kyn raises an eyebrow, "Why do you think so?"

"Because my body forcefield was being probed. I would have been attacked if I decided to share the information. I would have survived the attack, but traveling a galaxy when a god is mad at you isn't smooth.", I say.

Kyn laughs, "I guess so. We'll just have to trust the Force in this one then. We couldn't possibly know its plans. We'll just try not to break."

The Miralian speaks, "Now, I want to discuss more about you. Your origins, your technology. Especially your experiences."
