Xinlie was experiencing a torrent of weather fluctuations as the season began to change. There was snowfall one day and rain the next. And before all the snow and sludge could be washed away, more snow would come, only to be followed by sunshine.
Liu Suye was growing lazy even though he had only been there for two days. Perhaps he ought to have remained at Wangyun Peak a little longer but he could only take so much glaring and task delegations, and so many instances of his uncle breathing down his neck.
It was easier being away, and away wasn't even that far! Xinlie was relatively close to home anyway.
And it wasn't as if Liu Suye had been shirking all of his duties, only some of them. In particular, those that required him to smile like a fool and sweet talk angry Elders in patience and listen to them gripe about his brother and himself.
Burn out was guaranteed to happen at one point or another!
