Miriams 2 Month Mark Chapter 3

Veronica had slowly become accustomed to being called Miriam and just decided to accept that she was now Miriam.

Miriam was excited the past few weeks as she anticipated getting to do normal activities with her family but alas, when she finally was able to focus her eyes on things, she found out this new family of hers qould most likely not be the warm and happy go lucky childhood that she so yearned for in her last life.

Miriam was now 3 months old, or so she had heard from her wet-nurse this morning when she had come to feed her.

Yes, that's correct. She, Miriam, had a wet nurse.

She knew that it was disgusting but with no better alternatives in these times she decided to just go with it and obediently nurse from a woman's tit.

At first she wondered why it wasn't her mother who was breast feeding her but she figured out soon thereafter that supposedly such a task was to much for a 'noble' lady to do.

Miriam wondered of her mother just didn't like her. She thought that perhaps that was the actual case. Either way though, Miriam was going to still extend her olive branch of peace at every chance because she desperately wanted a peaceful childhood this time.

Currently Miriams eldest sister Abigail had come into her room after breakfast was over and stolen her away like a theif in the night.

Now that Miriams sight was good, she could enjoy the scenery around her and thus was a perfect example of a docile baby that you could play baby dolls with.

Abigail was probably around 8 years old, Miriam reckoned.

She had long dark golden blond hair that was curly but not to the extent that one might get a afro. These curls are what one might call, classy curls. Or at least that's what Miriam would call them.

Anyway, she was currently being carried by her eldest sister Abigail to an unknown destination.

The past week Abigail had been visiting her every day and 'playing" with her. So basically in other words, poking, prodding, and jabbering in a nonstop manner to her about all kinds of things.

Of course she did so when the maids weren't present as to try and keep her noble image of the respectable eldest daughter.

Miriam was excited and pleased to be taken on a defacto tour of the plantation that they lived on, so today she didn't mind that she was being treated as a toy again today. Afterall. Abigail always seemed conciois that she was an actual baby and never went to overboard with her actions so Miriam decided to be the Saint in the situation and play the part of the perfectly docile baby.

Miriam wasn't too sure how she felt about living on a plantation but she guessed that at least the architecture of the house was pretty?

At least from what she had seen so far.

Finally Abigail made her way out into the backyard of the estate and the first thing Miriam noticed were a few girls around Abgails age and one boy as well.

Miriam sighed inside her heart, hoping that she wasn't going to be thrown in the air or something.

She didn't know how well their doctors were in whatever year she was in, but she was sure there was no x-rays or anti-biotics. So being on the careful side wouldn't hurt.

Walking up to the other children, Abigail lifted Miriam up abit higher infront of her, as if to show off to the crowd.

Miriam was reminded of that one scene in the Lion King, where the baboon showed the little princling lion to the herd of Savanah animals and everyone screamed and roared at the beauty of life. Or something to that effect.

Anyway, having only seen that movie a handful of times in the hospitals kid ward didn't exactly make her a expert on the film.

But the situation that appeared before her definitely reminded her of that one iconic scene. Hopefully she wouldn't be driven out of the 'kingdom' of Virginia upon a tragic death, or have a vengeful uncle.

The group of kids gathered more closely around Abigail and enquired more about her cute baby doll.

Of course, since Miriam was so docile and was staying very still, it was to be expected that they had thought that she was as dull as a clump of baked clay that had horse hair glued atop its head. Known otherwise as a porcelain doll.

"Abigail where did you get this doll from? I'll ask my Aunt Jenny to get one for me too!" Exlaimed a brunette girl with wild curly hair that was barely tamed by a comb and stuffed into a litte bun on the back of her head.

Abigail looked at the girl and said exasperatedly, "This here is my youngest sister half sister. Her name is Miriam and she is very calm and docile and rarely wets her diapers. And when she does she usually cries for a minute before doing it."

The kids looked at Abigail skeptically before drawing even nearer and examining the doll like baby girl with interest, adoration, and the last but to be expected look of boredom.

The bored look of course came from the boy.

Miriam decided to try and mess with him.

Raising her right little arm and pointing towards the the black haired lad, she tried her very best to make a farting spit-like noise. Much to her surprise, it didn't sound half bad.

"Bloittrrgthhh~"

Two of the girls along with Abigail giggled at this action of Miriams.

The boy scowled abit before pointing at Miriam and saying something that was surprisingly a obvious and valid point.

"Are you supposed to be carrying a baby around outside like that alone. Did you even ask the Lady of the house or tell the nurse maid or maid in charge of the baby that you were abducting her away like an uncivilized person."

Upon hearing his words a girl with pale skin, freckles, and long black wavy hair frowned and turned around to slap him on the shoulder.

"Is that any way to talk to a lady?! Jeremiah watch yourself... Honestly sometimes I wonder why I bring you along with me to play with Abigail..."

"Littlest Sister of course I have to keep an eye on you for mother~" The boy crooned with a grin appearing on his face that Miriam could have sworn she could vividly internally describe how such a grin could only be used to eat the biggest of shits.

"I'm sure it's because of the fact that none of the boys want anything to do with him since he's always so negative, and starts arguments whoever he goes. My cousin told me such a month or so ago at a little family tea party my family held." The last girl present said.

Her auburn hair down to the middle of her back and straight as a board. Her amber-brown eyes sparkled with a mischievous glint as she said this before raising her hand to cover her mouth and cough twice or thrice, as if pretending to clear her throat.

The black haired boy called Jeremiah's pale skin instantly flushed a rosy pink on his face.

His sister and the brown haired girl shook their heads slightly as if disappointed before turned back towards Abigail who had just lowered Miriam back into a more secure grip in her arms.

"I'm sure Miriams fine she's already 2 months old today, if I wait any longer to carry her around I won't be strong enough." Abigail retorted, clearly not even answering the cranky boys question.

Each chapter can take me from anywhere from 1 and a half hours to write to 3 or 4 hours.

All chapters will be 1000 words plus, and I am shooting to try and make it so they can all eventually work up to 1500, and maybe 2000 if my hands don't get tired.

I type everything on my phone so typos will happen, I try and fix them best I can.

I'd you see any tell me about them and I will fix them as soon as possible.

I appreciate comments.

Also this story starts in 1844.
