Ice on Jade: The forbidden love of a double agent
The story takes place in the ancient Chinese fictional dynasties Nanqing and Northern Qi.
Shen Wan'er (Jade), the sister of Zhong Zhong, the commander of the Royal Guards of the Northern Qi Kingdom, is in love with Yan Bingyun.
Yan Bingyun (Ice), codenamed Ice Clouds, was the son of Yan Ruohai, the supervisor of the Oversight Council, and was sent to Northern Qi to lurk as a secret agent. Known as Mr. Yan, he is also the spy chief of the Northern Qi Dynasty. Yushu Linfeng, Qin is proficient in various talents such as chess, calligraphy and painting.
After Yan Bingyun lurked in the capital of Northern Qi, Yan Bingyun made friends with the upper-class dignitaries of Northern Qi, and came into contact with Shen Wan'er (the sister of Shen Zhong, the commander-in-chief of the Royal Guards of Northern Qi).
By taking advantage of Shen Waner's feelings, Yan Bingyun successfully obtained Northern Qi's military intelligence and laid the foundation for the victory of Nanqing's army.
After Yan Bingyun was betrayed by Li Yunrui, the eldest princess of Nanqing, Yan Bingyun was tortured in Northern Qi for a year. Northern Qi negotiated with Nanqing, and the Nanqing court exchanged Northern Qi's hostages for Yan Bingyun. Yan Bingyun was rescued by Fan Xian. On the way back to Nanqing, they conspired to kill Chen Shen and after obtaining information, they also abducted Shen Wan'er.
