Seedship

In a distant future, humanity has exhausted Earth's resources, and the only hope for survival is to search for a new habitable planet. The Seedship program was created to launch vessels into space, each containing a self-sustaining ecosystem designed to grow and thrive on a new planet. 17-year-old Alex, a gay teen from Earth, has always dreamed of exploring the universe and being part of the Seedship program. He is selected to join the crew of Seedship X-15, which is on a mission to explore a distant planet that shows promising signs of being able to support human life. Alex is thrilled to be part of the mission, but he soon discovers that the journey is not going to be easy. The trip takes several years, and the crew must go into hibernation for most of the journey. Alex struggles with the isolation and loneliness, but he finds solace in the virtual reality simulations provided by the ship's computer. When the crew finally arrives at their destination, they discover that the planet is inhabited by an intelligent alien species that is not happy about their arrival. The aliens see humans as a threat to their way of life, and they are not willing to share their planet. As tensions rise between the humans and the aliens, Alex forms a close bond with a fellow crew member, a gay teen named Ryan. Together, they must find a way to communicate with the aliens and convince them that they come in peace. But when they discover a dark secret about the Seedship program, they must decide whether to reveal the truth and risk jeopardizing the mission or keep it a secret and continue their search for a new home. Will Alex and Ryan be able to save the mission and find a new home for humanity, or will their love be their downfall?
