Armed combat personnel and T-Dolls? It's highly unlikely that they're Sangvis Ferri's Dolls. Those usually come in sorry states, so when did they start equipping them with vehicles?
And human combat personnel in SF's factories? While it's possible to imagine living people in technical positions in the factory, considering where all those SF factories are located...
They're either in the Yellow Zone or the Red Zone! Wouldn't it be better for them to find a good job in the safe zone and earn money honestly? Why risk going to such dangerous places?
Unless they were offered too much things...
"It's probably the Statesec or some department cooperating with G&K. Don't worry about it, let's just get these things onto the truck first."
Renault wasn't concerned about those guys causing trouble at SF's factories.
Come on, Sangvis Ferri's HQ and Main Factory was in that direction, and there were countless autonomous Dolls inside. Plus, they were military contractors, so why would the Statesec bother causing trouble at Sangvis Ferri?
Renault and his companions continued their purchases for nearly an hour, cramming the truck full of goods.
"Phew, that's it. We've bought everything on G36's list, but these supplies will probably only last for about a month. Simonov will probably start complaining about running out of alcohol in less than a week."
Securing the truck's tarp, M1911 sighed. Although she said that, they had just bought ten boxes of vodka to put in the truck. But this amount... was probably only enough for Simonov and A-91 to drink for about a week.
"When we start growing wheat in the future, let those two brew their own alcohol." Renault shook the suitcase in his hand. Inside were all the seeds he had bought from the seed store, covering a variety of types, but most were vegetable varieties available here.
For example, there were no chili pepper seeds. Even though they were easy to grow, they were inexplicably unavailable here. There were plenty of green peppers, fortunately, and CF05 still had plenty of seeds, so there was no need to worry about not having chili peppers in the future.
"Brew... brew alcohol? This..." Hearing Renault's words, M1911 couldn't help but feel embarrassed.
Simonov would probably suffer, and A-91 wasn't exactly diligent. Brewing alcohol would probably fall entirely on Simonov's shoulders in the future.
And then at least half of the brewed alcohol would end up in A-91's stomach.
"Don't worry, it's a good way to give Simonov something to do and keep her from jumping around all day."
M1911 nodded, imagining Simonov's miserable brewing career in the future, shaking her head, and wondering how the commander would solve the problem of farming cultivation equipment...
After M1911 and Vector got into the car, Renault drove directly out of the city's main gate, heading in the same direction as the people M1911 mentioned had left.
Of course, Renault wasn't going to investigate the movements of those people. He was going to the SF Outpost. Besides the outpost in the southern port, there was also an Sangvis Ferri outpost not far from the city gate.
But that one had been abandoned for a long time and no one used it. They were just going over there to wait for the train.
It shouldn't be long before the SF train returned. After all, SF had various mechanical equipment and dolls to unload, so it wouldn't take long.
...
However, after Renault parked the car at the station and patiently waited for an hour, there was still no sign of any Sangvis train coming. This puzzled him. They had agreed with Scarecrow earlier to meet here at 7:30 in the evening, but now it was already past 8 o'clock, and there was still no movement.
"That guy must have forgotten us."
Sitting in the passenger seat, Vector looked out at the desolate wilderness outside the window, feeling annoyed. In the midst of the green zone, except for some dry grass, there was basically nothing left.
"It shouldn't be. Isn't Scarecrow usually punctual?" M1911 also felt strange. The other side's Sangvis Ferri material factory had already resumed operations before they left, and large quantities of raw materials were being produced.
Logically speaking, Sangvis, which successfully opened this transportation line, shouldn't stop the trains on this line, right?
"I'll call and ask her." Renault was also puzzled. He took out his phone and dialed a number from his contacts list.
"Huh? Doesn't Scarecrow not possess any phone?" Seeing Renault's confident action, M1911 tilted her head, trying to remember various details about Scarecrow, but she couldn't recall Scarecrow having a phone.
"She doesn't, but I'm dialing the encrypted protocol of her holographic communication module. Hopefully, it should connect since this place isn't too far from Sangvis Ferri's main factory."
Scarecrow was able to directly contact them through holographic communication at their headquarters before they left, so there was no reason why he couldn't make this call.
"Renault?" After only a few seconds, Scarecrow voice came from the phone.
Her voice sounded surprised, as if she hadn't expected Renault to be able to contact her directly.
"It's me. Where's your train? I've been waiting here for half an hour."
"Well, I knew it was you. Who else could directly contact my internal communication protocol? Although I really want to ask how you knew the encryption code of my communication protocol, now is obviously not the time to dig into it."
"Sangvis Ferri seems to have encountered a small group of enemies. Mr. Lycoris has shut down some of the equipment at the main factory. I'm afraid I won't be able to leave for a while. I'm sorry, you'll have to wait a little longer, or... drive back yourself..."
As she said this, Scarecrow sounded somewhat helpless. After all, this wasn't something she could decide. It would probably take waiting for things to settle down at the main factory before SF's trains could resume operation.
"What?" Upon hearing Scarecrow's words, the three people in the driver's cab couldn't help but exclaim in unison.
Drive back themselves? Are you kidding? It takes almost half a day by train, and driving? Wouldn't that take several days? The road conditions now are nothing like before the war. If it were before the war, it would be fine, at most adding a few hours to the journey.
The areas through which the SF trains passed were mostly red zones, with some areas having terrible road conditions. They even had to cross a river midway, and who knew which of those bridges on the river hadn't collapsed yet.
If they took the northern route through the green zone, they could return, but most of those areas probably had checkpoints where they would be inspected! Renault didn't think the transit permit he got from Scarecrow would allow him to travel freely.
Otherwise, why would he need Scarecrow's help to get an identity? He could just use the identity document Nicholas gave him before!
It's not universally applicable, sweetheart.
