Hearing Blaize's honey-coated words, Sengoku doesn't know whether to laugh or cry. Even so, it still pleased him knowing that Blaize regards him highly in his heart.
"This is the last time; if it happens again, I won't be able to protect you. I know you may feel indignant, but the Marines are directly under World Government's authority.
Though we aren't obliged to accept all their orders, in certain matters we can't deny their request. Especially, if it's related to World Nobles." Sengoku advised.
"I understand, Sengoku-san. I will try my best to avoid interacting with them." Blaize said.
"So how's the hunting test going?"
"A week ago, I met a crew who went by the name Scourge Pirates. Their recent actions are a little extreme, so I destroyed them completely, leaving none alive." Blaize reported.
"Scourge Pirates! Their captain is a devil fruit user who ate a Noko Noko no mi. His abilities were pretty dangerous, and it's also why the marines couldn't catch him.
Well, it's for the best that he fell under your hands. I need to watch out for his devil fruit and prevent it from circulating to another pirate." Sengoku stated.
"I heard some strong pirates have recently arrived at sabaody, who are you going to target next?"
"DemonBear Pirates!" Blaize answered.
"Them? Are you sure you can take them on, alone?" Sengoku asked.
"Yes. Even though they have two devil fruit users, I am confident in defeating them." Blaize replied.
"No. Don't judge their strength with the little information you have. Their captain, Ridge, was a person from the New World who worked under a strong pirate crew before.
He may not be what's seen on the surface!"
"Good. Now it's getting interesting." Blaize smirked, itching for a fight.
"You brat...stop being so full of yourself. Gion, you go with him. After dealing with this crew, you guys can directly come back to headquarters." Sengoku stated and ended the call.
--
"Let's go, Gion. I heard the DemonBear pirates are in Grove 27. What did you do in this one week, met any interesting people or crew?" Blaize asked.
"Just some small-time pirates with weak strength," Gion responded. "What about you?"
"You can say I met an amazing person on the trip!" Blaize said, recalling his conversation with Old Man Magnus. "Did you meet any other recruit?"
"No, but I heard Vergo captured a notorious pirate crew whose total bounty reached 120 Million berries, singlehandedly," Gion replied.
"Wow. Pretty impressive!" Blaize playfully commented.
Chatting, they reached Grove 27 and spotted a ship that had the jolly roger of DemonBear pirates. Even though they docked the ship in a remote location, Blaize and Gion discovered it after a few minutes of search.
They didn't rush to attack but scrutinized the crew from a distance. Their ship is already coated and ready to sail at any moment.
"Gion, let's attack. I think they are going to leave!" Blaize urged Gion, but it was too late.
The resin-coated ship suddenly ballooned, covering the entire ship within a bubble. Seeing this, Blaize cursed. 'Shit!'
With a quick dash, Blaize raced towards the ship while Gion followed and commented. "It's too late!"
As she said, the entire ship sank below the sea, disappearing from their view. Gazing at the sea, Blaize balled his fist and uttered: "Gion, we are following them!"
"What? No way! Fishman Island is located 10,000 meters below where the marines can't use their absolute advantage. Sengoku-san won't support your decision!" Gion denied his idea with a frown upon her face.
"Then it's all the more reason why we should go," Blaize spoke, looking around.
"You are crazy. I am going to notify the headquarters."
"Whatever! I will look for another pirate ship that's ready to enter Fishman island. There should be one near us!" Saying this, Blaize searched along the shore.
Meanwhile, Gion notified about the same to Sengoku, forcing the latter to rub his temples in frustration.
It didn't take for long Blaize to find a coated ship. It's also a pirate ship with an unknown Jolly Roger, possibly belong to some small-time pirate crew.
The pirates on board were cheerful and excited about their journey to the New World, a pirate's dream. But before they could set sail, Blaize invaded the ship, brazenly.
"Who are you?" The captain of the ship confronted unsheathing the sword.
"Don't worry about that. Are you guys going to Fishman Island? Take us with you, I will be grateful." Blaize requested with a kind smile.
His request baffled the pirates. They all thought, 'Who did he think we are?'
"Brat, did you take us for a tourist ship? We are pirates, can't you see our jolly roger. Get out of the ship before we toss you into the ocean." Another pirate threatened.
"Why can't you guys just listen to my request? You are wasting my time, you know." Blaize shrugged with a helpless expression.
"I hate the look on your face. Why are you guys even speaking with him?" A pirate with a scary face came forward and tried to grab him by his collars.
And a result, he was blasted off the ship by Blaize. What followed after is a lot of Booms, Bangs, and crash sounds. In a matter of minutes, all the thirty-some pirates on the board are beaten black and blue.
At that moment, Gion also came and leaped onto the ship. Looking at the tragic state of pirates, she shook her head.
"You...who are you? Are you a bounty hunter?" The captain of the ship, who now missed a few teeth, asked.
"As I said, you shouldn't worry about that. If you guys want to enter the new world, take us to Fishman Island.
I haven't killed any of you because none of you seem killers. But my patience is limited."
"We will take you there, but will you stay true to your words?" The captain of the ship asked.
"Don't worry. Bring us to Fishman Island, and you can go your own way. I won't stop you." Blaize assured them with his words.
