Royal Palace

Both the twins were beyond amazed. They both had mixed expressions on their faces. Admiration. Sheel-shocked. Pleasantly surprised.

"It's otherworldly. You look so beautiful that I don't have any words to describe it." Sheng Xue spoke with some mist in her eyes. She was moved to tears after taking her whole appearance.

True, Lin Huiying might have never looked this pretty. Because who doesn't know what makeup can do. It can transform a whole person.

Lin Huiying went for a no-makeup look. She had mastered this art after a very long time. It took energy, money, and time. But look at the fruits of her hard work.

She felt like Sheng Xue will start worshipping her anytime now.

She could somewhat understand her emotions. The twins had seen her from a young age and suddenly looking at such a beautiful her – they would be moved to tears as a mother would.

After getting ready, she went to the main hall where all the family members gathered.

They had somewhat similar reactions. No one was an exception. Not even her tsundere big brother.

She was kind of getting shy now with all the people in the room looking at her with such a mesmerizing gaze. It was her first. Her face was similar to her past life. She almost felt like a goddess.

She gave them the same excuse as the twins.

"What were you doing hiding such a beautiful granddaughter?" Old man Lin playfully questioned her.

"What's the special occasion today? Suddenly turning into a phoenix from ashes." Lin Fengmeng asked.

"Well, I was never turned into asses. I have always been this beautiful and I was not hiding these powders for any special occasions, but the truth is that I just completed these products a few days ago."

After all the commotion in the main hall, the family settled down in their carriages to attend the royal dinner.

"I would rather walk on foot than ride carriages." Lin Huiying sighed and looked at the twins sitting opposite her.

Lin Huiying laughed at her actions and said, "Carriages might be okay, but the road under them is not."

They soon reached the gates of the royal palace and their carriages stopped.

The whole place almost looks like a terrain county in itself. In her world, it would be called a suburb or a count, but here it is just a palace where the monarch of the country resides.

'Waste of land and money, ha!' Lin Huiying thought.

But on second thought it looks spectacular after walking inside while looking at the large halls for ceremonies and official business, as well as smaller buildings, temples, towers, residences, galleries, courtyards, gardens, and outbuildings.

They soon entered the main hall used for holding formal dinner. There were already two groups of people inside.

It was the Mo family and the Lu family. The two of the four big families of the imperial city. Mo's were an intelligent one with no funky business similar to their Lin family. Their biggest asset would be the seat of the prime minister owned by the Old man Mo.

It could be said that the Lin and Mo family comes second after the royal family, and are more respected than the other two big families.

While on another side, the Lu's were a textbook example of rich aristocrats with strict elders having extremely high hopes from the young ones. A typical-ish family one would find in the web novels once in a while. Most of the family a facial paralysis. Maybe runs in the genes. Means – they were told to control their micro expression from childhood and were forced to mature before their age.

Both the families were sitting opposite each other along with their whole families without any wall between males and females members.
