Both of the twins took after their mother. Compared to their older brother, they had fair skin, a straight nose with a humpy bump, medium-length eyebrows, light-black long hair, and tall and Asian eyes.

For Lin Dan, the older one from both looked good as if puberty hit him hard. Many girls liked him as he was a charmer and a bit of a player. While Lin Jiang was the quiet type.

Lin Huiying could recall the taste of her mother's herbal soup from the previous owner's memories. So she decided to side with his cousin on this one.

"Some bitterness is important in life. You can't live your whole life in a happy bubble." A young man with a husky voice appeared suddenly out of the blue in light blue robes and was standing near the dining table.

Everyone turned their head to look at him. He looked like his mother, Lu Yi-Ching. Lin Huiying observed her older brother and the first young master of the family, Lin Fengmian. He was a really handsome dude. She couldn't help but admire his looks.

Broad shoulders, nearly 5'9 or 5'10, fair complexion, hooded eyes with double eyelids and long curled eyelashes like a barbie doll while medium lips of pink color. All in all the most good-looking among men in her generation.

This guy was extremely intelligent, probably the highest IQ in their whole house. But downside would be a low EQ. He loved his family but wouldn't express it openly. Basically, a tsundere character. A confident man with a high post at a young age. He was a high-ranking minister at court.

"How many times have I told you guys not to use your powers at home. Live like normal humans, would you?" Lu Yi-Ching chided her son who used his power to teleport himself in the dining room.

"Sorry mom, I had to cause I was running late. I just saw grandfather entering the gate of the main hall, so I came here not to be late." Lin Fengmian explained to his mother and sat down at his place on the table.

In this world, people are spirit cultivators and are highly respected for that. Her family was one of them.

Before anyone could say anything, the guard announced the arrival of General Lin.

But General Lin had learned to never have more than one wife which ruins the family with all the step-children and step-moms. His mother taught him to respect women and installed good qualities of a family man.

The maids came to serve the food as soon as everyone settled down. Their family didn't mind talking while having their meals. They were not a stickler for rulers and etiquettes.

"Emperor has invited the four big families of the imperial capital for dinner after three days." Old man Lin spoke after chewing his food.

Everyone looked at him nonchalantly while enjoying their food.

Lin Dan asked what everyone was thinking about, "What's the special occasion? That it is in three days without the prior notice."

"Looks like the emperor is just gaining favor for the crown prince from the four big families. And maybe discuss the annual hunting competition." Old man Lin answered.
