"How did you learn to operate forklift ?" Manager Wu asked.

" I used to work in fastfood restaurant, but the salary was not enough. My parents only had small fruit shop, it was very tough for them because they needed alot of money to send Sean to uni the following years and Alan the years after. So, after I graduated from high school. I worked at factory at night time and went to uni at day time. We earned more of we could operate forklift. Truck driver salary is event higher".

"Did you work as truck driver as well ?" Liam asked.

"Just for substitute, Sean loved it. we both compete to get it but I couldn't win againts him, so he did it. Alan and me mostly drove dads' truck. At that time, we bought the fruit directly from big supplier. sometime dads went to farm straight away." Nick chuckled as he remembered his old days with his two siblings.

"How long did you do it ?" Liam asked again

"2 years, then I moved to technical support team for a year. I took my master degree on networking while working at telecomunication company. I postponed my master degree since I got scholarship to study encryption from a sponsor company. After I completed my time in germany, I worked there for five years while finished my master degree"

"How did you meet my sister ?" Liam asked.

"I was transfered to country U for a year"

"How did you start your NAF ?".

"Mike and his father asked me to build system for them. I was reluctant at the first time. If I was single, it should not be a problem. but at that time, I was about to get married. I though Alice and my parents would not suppport me. I was wrong, they supported me. The consequence was that I had to move back to my parents house to save money. Lucky My wife and my mother are good with each other " Nick grinned.

The top managements were eavesdropping those men conversation. they began to admire Nick. His successful carrier was not something that he inherited but it was from his hard work.

"How do you know there are alot of indident here ?" chairman NG asked.

"The way the worker lifted is not in right way, they will hurt their self just a matter of time. The floor is very slippery when it's wet and no one use proper footware. Human has their on limit, they can noy lift heavy box constantly in long periode. Not sure here but in country A there are a lot of safety complaince in place. My dad always tell us, customer is not king, staff is not slave. They are our partner, I didn't understand first. In our shop, they have been working with us for long time. Dad treat them like brothers and sisters,we really can trust and depend to them. well, not all of them, one or two were dishonoest" Nick watched the factory workers who were mostly not young anymore

"Well. Back to business, I understand alot of parties are reluctant to move to new technology. some people may scare they lost their job due to their knowledge limitation compared to young generation. But it is not true, they are more careful and deligent compare to youngster. we juat need to provide them with training and guidance"

The people there were amazed at Nick. they finally understood why their chairman chose him as his successor. They might not trust him but they did not reject him either, he begun to put a lot of hope for better years under his leadership ahead. They were sure their leader would not disappointed them.

Nick and his father in law arrived back home very late. They lost track in the factory as the directors discussed about this and that and the factory manager asked to upgrafe this and that. Nick let Liam to listen to them as well. When They arrived back to the NG villa, It was already after 9 and was too late for dinner.

Alice was waiting for him "Have you had your dinner ?"

"No"

"I'll prepare some"

before She could go, he clunched her hands "No need. It's too late for dinner. I don't want to eat something heave at this hour"

"Have shower first" she took him to their room. After he finished shower, she was there waiting for him with a bowl of mung bean soup " Have this. I made it"

Nick finished it in few mouthfull.

She took the empty bowl and places it o the coffee table. She circled his waist with her hand and put her heas on his chest

"Darling, if it's to tiring, just give up. You don't need to push you self to this extend. you haven't start but you have spent more than 12 hour" She felt guilty. she knew he only did it because of her.

"It's ok" He caressed her hair.

"Darling, you and kids are the most important for me. I want to see you everyday and make you happy, not to become your burden. I want to be like mum and dad instead of daddy. Just have enough material but have each other".

"I will only help your brother for maximum of 5 years"

"Five years is too long" She said.

Nick laughed "please give me 15 years, After archie go to uni, I'll let everything go. We will travel here and there like mum and dad do now. Ok ?".

Alice stared at him with twinkled eyes and nodded excitedly "mn. but promise me, from now until then, you have to be home at 6. doesn't matter how busy you are, your evening and weekend is for me and kids. ok ?"

"Honey, when I get older , I may not be able to serve you every night" He teased her.

"Hey, I am serious" She glared at her

"Me too" Nick glared back then laughed.

He kissed her lips lightly "Ok, you and kids are more important than company. You too has to be prepare, the higher we are stand, the strongest the win will blow"

She smiled. she knew there were a lot of obstacles and challenges on the years ahead. she was sure they would be able to grow old together. As long as she could live happily with her beloved one, she would do anything. "for you and our kids, I will do my best. I am glad to meet you, fall in love with you and become your other half. Darling, thank you"

Nick laughed "Yes. For you and the kids, I'll do my best. I am glad you chased me. Thank you"
