After Margaret walked further down the hallway and entered another room, Lenny gazed about the house, noticing the pictures on the wooden wall.
Among the framed pictures, there were two happy couples on their wedding day, another with their respective families on that happy day, another when the married man was younger, another when the now burly married man held a newborn child in his arms, and quite a few more.
Lenny cautiously entered the wide opening on the left, taking in the sights of old, worn-out furniture arranged around a glass table and a large box television sitting at the top of the arrangement.
His lips curled slightly. 'Oh wow, it's been a while since I've seen these. It's just like back at home with Ma. Brings back memories. Too bad we had to sell it out. But this is 2023, why's this thing still here? I can bet a hundred — no, that's too much — ten bucks it doesn't work.'
