Chapter 1Chapter 1.1 - The End of the Line

A lone battered man stood in the middle of a desolate land, staring up at the sky filled with dark clouds. He was unwilling to accept his fate. After all, he is a peak master of his sect. To be reduced to such a sorry state, he felt that the heavens have wronged him. If he had known earlier, he would've killed those people who betrayed him. Thinking back on the events a few days ago, he did not expect that out of all the people in his life, his very own martial elder brother, with whom he has spent most of his life fighting alongside with would be the one to betray him. He could only smile bitterly at the thought.

"Ah... XinWen truly is unwilling..." he muttered in a weak voice as he saw another lightning formed within the dark cloud looming above him. True to form, the dark cloud looked ominous and oppressive. As if bringing with it nothing but despair like the desolate land where Li XenWen stood.

In his condition, with his spiritual energy spent and exhausted, being struck by lightning would surely spell his death. A dark chuckle escaped his lips "I can't die yet. Not until I bring justice to their betrayal." And just as fast as the thought crossed his mind, a blinding light was the last thing he saw.

A loud booming sound was heard throughout the land and after the cloud dispersed, two shadows came out of their hiding place and approached the area where Li XinWen stood just moments ago.

"So, not even ashes remains... Such a shame. I was really hoping to get that heavenly treasure off him..." this came from a man wearing a white robe adorned with red lining at the edge. The man's expression was cold as he stared at the aftermath of the recent event.

A woman came forward, disbelief clouding her face over what she just heard from the man. "Shixiong, I don't believe that such heavenly treasure would be destroyed by a lightning tribulation for a peak kongming stage..."

"Shimei, do you think that was a normal lightning tribulation for a peak kongming stage?" he asked. "I believe that was not a normal lightning tribulation but instead... divine's tribulation."

As soon as her elder martial brother mentioned the words divine's tribulation the woman's eyes widened in disbelief. "Impossible! Wen-gege has already entered Dacheng stage?!"

"No. He was still at peak kongming stage. The only explanation is that... the treasure is truly heaven-defying. Or else, do you think the heavens would strike on XinWen without reason? As soon as XinWen bound the treasure to him, the divine tribulation had been triggered..."

"Oh... then... Wen-gege is really gone? He won't turn into a loose immortal?"

At this question, the man closed his eyes and spread out his spiritual sense. "There isn't even a lingering spirit of him left in this world. Shimei, let us return to the sect and report this to Shiye. You know what to say, right?"

The woman nodded her head and the two of them left for the sect without ever looking back.

Fallen General's Omega (BL)

I watch him, his green eyes brimming with concern as he gently massages my scarred leg. The sensation is both soothing and a stark reminder of my own inadequacy. The once-feared Crimson General, a symbol of power and invincibility, is now nothing but a frail shadow of his former self. I’ve been abandoned, left to decay in this forsaken place, my family and comrades long forgotten. Darkness had become my only solace, and I had resigned myself to it. Then he arrived, a beacon of light in my endless night. His presence, his care—it’s more than I ever deserved. Yet, I find myself clinging to him with an intensity that borders on madness. I hate that I need him so desperately, that his every action and word have become my lifeline. It consumes me, a torment I can't escape. "You don't have to do this. Please, don’t do this. I’m nothing. You deserve better. Leave. Please," I beg, my voice trembling with raw anguish, the very words tearing me apart. He continues his work, seemingly unaffected by my pleas. "Why are you here? Look at me! I’m nothing." Desperation and anger swell within me, mixing into a maelstrom of anxiety. I can’t comprehend the emotions coursing through me. "You're my alpha, where else would I be?" he responds softly, his gaze unwavering, as if my pleas were mere background noise. My heart races, torn between overwhelming relief and paralyzing dread. In that moment, I realize the truth: you would have to tear him from my cold, lifeless arms. I’m never letting go. - General Thorne, betrayed and broken, finds new life and love with Omega Noelle, who nurses him back to health. Their deepening bond reveals Thorne’s softer side, offering a chance at happiness. Unfortunately, Thorne’s past soon catches up with them, threatening their newfound peace. **** STOP!!!! There are spoilers here and i don't know how to hide them. Ok so, the writing and the background are good and the story it's interesting but, i just can't read anymore. I'll say it just as i wrote it in the comments: it feels as if i'm watching a rape victim forgive and fall in love with the criminal. Yes, i heard the real rapist was the brother of the guy and is a misunderstanding, but it's only found out until chapter 60 something? So you must pass all those chapters feeling like vomiting everytime the guy flirts and is shameless? Moreover, the MC who is a cultivator, somebody who must be at least a little smart after all those years... yet he feels bad for the guy and his gift, he allows this "scum" near his beloved sister and accepts his advances even though he despises him. And all this happens BEFORE knowing it was not him. Meaning, even if it was him it wouldn't matter, it would still be "ok". The fact that it was not him feels more like an excuse so they can be together without disgusting the readers. The other stinky shoe is the sister, she apparently knows about the future apocalipse, knows the guy (her fiance) doesn't love her but her brother (mc) and forgives it while "knowing" the guy is scum... It was alright because she told him to stay away from her family (because it seems the guy is also the reason of the death of her brother in the apocalipse) BUT, then she tells him to pretend to still be together to not worry the mc while he's hurt... If she's from the future she must know her brother is in a forced relationship, what part of seeing your rapist face can make you feel good? And if she knows about the guy not being the real rapist, why not tell your brother so he doesn't has to deal with it? She is like: i'm worried you'd feel worry for my relationship with your sexual predator so i'm bringing him home where he can harras you to prove you we are fine and you can rest easy and heal. I must say, i saw great potential in the author from how it was written, but the two major flaws in this story are: 1. The misunderstandings in a story are to make drama and keep you interested in it, not to make you feel grossed out for more than 50 chapters. This is a clear example of how not to make a misunderstanding in the plot. 2. The inconsistency in the characters, how if you say a character it's "this way" and then make them act as if they have no common sense inside their own character. If you love your family and they are the most important to you, you don't let scum take advantage of them or of you when you are perfectly aware of it without a fight (would you rather lie to your sister and hide her scum fiance actions knowing it'll be worse once she finds out? Instead of letting her cry and then move on you are betraying her and ruining her future if she doesn't find out before marrying. What makes you think a scum can make her happy the rest of her life when he is already cheating?) If you are a cultivator you are strong and must have good reflexes, no need to act delicate and unable to defend itselves (how is it the mc can't avoid the advances of the guy? Why are his abilities and IQ -0 when he is around?). And all the other major and minor examples of this mess that can only be explained by plot armor. I feel bitter writting this review because once you get these two things out of the way, the story is interesting and a good read. If you can ignore this sting in you eyes you may continue and enjoy it. On the other hand, the most bitter thing here are the comments of the people that are ok with the guy being a rapist and think it's valid in order to get the mc (even if it wasn't him, again, the mc didn't know). I just saw a few, but it felt so wrong to read those comments, especially the one with the meaning of "it's ok to be with a rapist, there are worst people out there". Just, be careful and don't believe everything you read.
