She's colder

Chapter 24: She's colder

"You were scared," High Yoru announced after grabbing High Nami's neck.

They were in his domain, so Vis had no way of escaping. Just by killing High Nami, his position would get revealed, so High Yoru was all fine by wasting time with the speech.

He also wanted to punish High Nami for a while now.

She was one of the people that suspected him the most, so she had been a bother to his eyes.

High Nami just bit her lips and did her utmost best to not let out any scream.

It was something that made her look way too pitiful, but this sight was what fueled and satisfied High Yoru's heart. For all this time, he often imagined such expressions.

Not only High Nami was the target of his imagination or dreams, but all those who barred his way with questions and suspicion.

"AHHH! AHHHHHH!" So suddenly, the high elder's grasp became so strong that it forced some screams to come out.

After raising her body, High Yoru slowly began to extend that death grasp towards High Madame's body.

But the mist soon shook and revealed the silver-haired man from behind.

"It can't get more obvious," High Yoru scoffed and turned his head to the side. He raised his other free hand and a lot of ghosts crawled their way upon it. Head by head began to pop off here as if gathering the utmost strength!

This hand just couldn't not catch Vis!

"Did you really just allow me to grasp you like that? What's the hidden play?" As predicted, High Yoru easily reached Vis and raised him through his neck.

A sudden coldness enveloped Vis wholly and he began to tremble as if a scared cat…

High Yoru titled his head, "So are you the white knight? I can't believe it… You gave off the vibe of a person that would sacrifice anyone for his survival…"

"I don't think I would be able… to sacrifice… my closest ones…" Vis barely uttered those words, "High Madame… is not that close to me, so what do you… think it is?"

High Yoru narrowed his eyes to these words.

Even if Vis was bluffing, what could a mere additional time buy for him?

Master Hayaran wouldn't end his battle so soon and other high elders wouldn't be able to enter this domain…

Other Masters? They also were cut off by Ghastly Abomination!

So what was it?

"You must be- UGH!" A cold bone suddenly pierced through High Yoru's abdomen.

Vis clicked his tongue after seeing this, "Fuck, I missed…" A cold bone quickly unfolded into a four meters tall bird skeleton!

This skeleton wrapped itself around Vis' body and became an armor which was something that already had happened in Vis' life.

This armor also snatched High Madame inside and she became like a broken vase in his hands.

"Your ghosts are cold…But..." Vis sighed with relief, "She's colder."

High Yoru immediately became trapped with cold bones making their way into his body! What should be the beautiful blue wings became the sharp blades that hugged the old necromancer.

"Ughhh! What is this skeleton?! How can it freeze my energy flow?!" High Yoru roared in anger, his ghosts becoming less and less prominent.

Of course, Vis knew why would this man be so surprised.

The necromancers were kinda disappointing in this world. They weren't what Vis expected them, because they just had one 'type' in their power.

For example, Ghastly Abomination and those necromancers from Lula Tribe. They were all related to the 'Ghost Undead' and nothing else.

The same went for the Soul Collector's servants. They had one ability and type that they worked on to overwhelm those who tried to stay on the death's side.

Vis was the one who got too abnormal an ability, The Undead Army, that could summon and turn people into undead types.

Would that mean he became one of the future 'strongest' servants?

Of course, Vis had potential, but he didn't know the limits of his abilities yet.

Vis ignored the High Yoru's screams. Unlike him, Vis didn't enjoy the torture but rewards that came after beating enemies.

He answered the high elder, though, "I think she was called Blue Icewing? Ice Venerable… servant? I think?" Vis spit out a little of blood, "Does this answer satisfy you before your death? I hope so because YOUR DEATH will be highly beneficial to me!"

"You? You dream of killing me?!" High Yoru roared! His body began to bubble with ghosts.

"I don't dream. I am certain of it," Vis answered, then the skeleton began to glow with its black bones getting another layer of luster. Those shone so brightly that their black color didn't match at all!

However, the ghosts became too much armor for the bird skeleton! It didn't seem like she would lose, but the high elder's death was not so certain anymore.

Like an enraged beast, the ghosts made something akin to the monster's hide and completely turned High Yoru into the monster.

He focused everything on his front, though…

"YOU DREAM OF-!" A hand pierced the high elder's head during his speech from behind.

"Hello there, Miku," Vis called out his 'beloved' that appeared behind High Yoru.

Even though the black skeleton hugged High Yoru, the man had been fighting with everything on the front as those bones could only pierce him from here.

The back was so exposed that anyone with considerable strength would be able to take him down.

But who could do it? Zombies? No! High Madame? No!

"Hello, Master," Miki replied, her hand digging deeper.

Vis just smiled and took his eyes to High Yoru whose consciousness began to fade a little.

The dark chains also began to appear around his soul which was the testament of the death itself.

He raised those shaky eyes at Vis, not believing what he had just seen.

Zombies… Skeleton… And some other undead… Yes, he didn't know what kind of undead Miku was.

"You don't know anything… After what I said about Miku, you believed that she wouldn't appear out of sudden," Vis extended his black hand. It landed on High Yoru's face and he clenched it tightly.

High Yoru couldn't use his lips anymore. As if licked by the Soul Collector's chains, he just stood in pain and grief…

"She is a little different from her former self, but luckily for your race, she still has her soul and her future is promising one," A black hand began to suck out all High Yoru's black energy!

Even the blue ghostly mist began to move, its target Miku's body.

A highly beneficial would be an underestimation of this progress!

"Kekeke!" This laughter belonged to no one other than The Soul Collector himself!

High Madame fainted on the spot after hearing it.

"A measly weapon made against the Lula Tribe… Not bad sacrifice, servant," A sound of licking could be heard, "You have set a high bar for your conquest. Well done! Kekekeke!"

After this screeching laughter ended, Vis bowed and said, "As per my oath, I will be the one the kill every necromancer my eyes laid on."

"Forward," The Soul Collector ordered like the general himself. After his word, the High Yoru's domain shattered like a broken mirror and revealed more necromancers that froze upon High Yoru's death.

Vis just laughed a little, "I wonder if those souls are that tasty… or there is another reason for him to be like that… If it's just pure enjoyment, then I might get a little worried for my future."

The Soul Collector was no longer here, but in his place, a lot of necromancers appeared!

Vis couldn't be happier and now that he used Blue Icewing's black skeleton, he decided to make the conquest more vicious.
