Chapter 12

Lubius enjoyed the breakfast he ate quietly, even though the food that came from the Beasts tasted delicious and gave his body a supply of Eron. But eating ordinary food without the burden and the like at least made him calmer. 

"So what happened meeting with a woman from Lucyanti?" Jamila asked the question because she didn't get a chance to talk about this last night, as Lubius looked exhausted. 

"Ah… We just had dinner and talked about her work as a trailblazer and also about labyrinths, beasts and the like. It's quite interesting." Lubius answered honestly. 

An answer that made Nadia, who was sitting next to her, almost spit out the food she was chewing. She had never heard of her brother meeting with the Lucyanti family. She was also surprised to hear that her parents let Lubius meet a woman from that family. Especially that his younger brother dared to go out and meet women to have dinner dates.

"Eh… really? I've never heard about this stuff. Are you alright???" Nadia was shocked and confused by everything that happened today. Her younger brother's attitude had changed and her parents had accepted all of this, but she still showed her concern by asking about his condition. 

"It's just dinner and we had a casual chat… Also I think she gave a Beast's meat from Labyrinth, which really made me feel Eron's capacity increase." 

"What… she gave you that… Geez… I knew that wealthy women were favored by men…" Nadia murmured in a very low voice that was hard to hear. Even so, people who listen to her mutterings can hear an overwhelming impression of jealousy from her. 

"Well, it's quite that young woman really likes you. I doubt a person gave it really easily." 

"Really? Is that expensive?" 

"In my opinion, not only is it expensive, but usually such items are also used for medicine. So they're hard to come by..." Guraj spoke about the dish that Lubius had eaten. 

"Hm... I thought so. However, Verita spoke of it as a sign of gratitude. So I guess I don't need to think too deeply about that." 

"Yeah, that's true. Lubius, as a man you can't look cheap." Nadia replied to Lubius' words and when Lubius turned toward her, he could see a very serious expression from her.

"Okay…" 

"It looks like you didn't have any trouble meeting him. But I hope you remain cautious and don't take gifts from women for granted. Sometimes they become very possessive after all." Jamila gave a warning to Lubius who could only slowly nod his head. 

"Ah, however, I have an appointment to meet Verita again." 

"Really, you don't have to force yourself like this!" This time it was Guraj who commented as he probably thought his son was pushing himself to maintain a relationship with Lucyanti's family. 

"You don't have to worry. I don't force myself. I just… to be honest… a little curious about the labyrinth. That's why I asked if I could see the labyrinth with my own eyes." Lubius was a little worried about his parents' reaction to this. Basically, they were very spoiling Lubius from this world. 

Then as Lubius expected when he said that, he could see that his family was silent and there was practically no sound at all in the dining room. It made Lubius a little tense…

"Hm, I think it's good. You show some interest with Eron. At least, you need to know about it more… after all." 

Nadia surprisingly saw this in a positive light. 

"Ugh… That's true… But as his mother… it's difficult to imagine your son going to such a dangerous place." Jamila didn't tell Lubius what to do, but Lubius could see that her face was a little pale. It was as if she was imagining something serious happening to Lubius.

"Yeah, it's just that... I thought Lubius couldn't visit the Labyrinth."

"Eh? Is that so?" 

"Yeah, I mean only people with Eron in category E can visit the Labyrinth." Guraj spoke about a rule that Lubius himself seemed to have missed. 

'Oh, that's sound not that bad…' Lubius thought that with such a low category, it seemed like the Labyrinth was an easy place for people to visit. 

"So you won't be able to enter the labyrinth because Eron's capacity is in category G after all." 

"That sounds terrible... So I wonder how average people are?" 

"Women usually fall between category C and men in category E. Usually the worst is in category F, but I heard that Lubius is arguably much worse than category F so you're in category G." Nadia explained to Lubius before adding something that was arguably too bad to hear. 

"They said that your Eron capacity is almost non-existent." 

"So are you saying that Verita is lying to me?" 

"I don't think so… She comes from the Lucyanti family, right? So, she may have other ways for you to get into the Labyrinth."

"That sounds logical…" 

"Why you're not ask her?" 

"Yeah…" 

Lubius thought about calling Verita after he finished eating and was more relaxed. However, somehow, he could feel all the gazes from his family. The three pairs of eyes seemed to be pressuring him to call right now in front of them. It was as if they wanted to know how his relationship with Verita was going. 

"Ugh… Fine. I'll try." Lubius spoke as he opened his cell phone and looked at Verita's contacts. Of course, he didn't call right away, but left a message asking if he had any free time so he could call her. 

They looked forward to Verita's answer as they finally finished their breakfast. In the middle of it, Jamila started talking to Nadia mainly about her daily life. It took almost ten minutes for Verita to answer Lubius' message. 

"Ah... It's here." When he made that comment, Nadia and Jamila's conversation stopped and they refocused on Lubius. Meanwhile, Guraj came to the table with the dessert he had made, which looked like a cold, sweet dessert.

"She said she's free… So I called her, okay…" 

The three members of his family nodded their heads and reacted to Lubius's words. 

"Excuse me, Verita. Sorry, that I had to call you in the early morning." 

[ It's fine. I'm happy to hear your voice… ] 

Lubius and Verita exchanged greetings between them, but before Lubius' eyes could see his mother and big sister signaling with their hands for Lubius to put their conversation on speaker. 

Of course, Lubius did not like this. But given recent history, he could only use his mouth on the two of them. 

'Fine… only this time…' 

Lubius hoped that this one conversation would change their perception of him a little. So that they don't have to keep watching and worrying about him. 

"Is that so… Last night, I had a good conversation too and slept well.. I think thanks for the food." Lubius and Verita had a nice small talk, like she asked what he was doing and ect. 

This was just a pep talk before Lubius asked.

"Verita, I just heard that I can't visit the labyrinth, because of my lack of Eron's capacity." 

"Ah… About that… Well, that's true. But you don't have to worry about it. Since I'll take care of it, but I think I need a lot of time and other stuff too. Also, I think I need some agreement and other stuff from you too. So your parents or guardians need to know…" 

"Really? Is that important?" 

"Yes… And if you don't agree I may not be able to fulfill your reward." 

Since Lubius only heard her voice, he could only read a little… From her voice, she sounded like she was sorry about this stuff. But it was kinda suspicious she hid it from him and he was the one who asked her. 

"That's too bad." 

"Yeah… Actually I want to tell you when I'm pretty much sure… At this point, I need to do some stuff so I'm not really sure myself at this moment." 

"Wait… so you may need some time?" 

"Un, It may take two weeks before I give you the agreement you need to know." 

"Agreement? I wonder what agreement you need from me." 

"Well, you can't visit because of your lack of Eron and far from the lowest requirement. However, I have a connection with one of the labyrinths and have been working together for many years. So I can make a special permit for you, unfortunately it seems that you have to take training and tests... that's why, I have to get your agreement." 

"Okay…" 

Lubius was a little disappointed about this, as he found that he had to rethink his plans. He had originally hoped to make a video of a man entering the labyrinth with the Trailblazer Rank S. However, if he had to wait two weeks... it would be too long and he already had a promise to pay his parents. 

In other words, Lubius still needed to find a job that could make money.
