The Dump's final challenge.

Tetra, the queen bee, lead me out of the hive and into a field, packed to the brim with colorful flowers, lush bushes, and sweet scents of nectar and fruit.

"This is cool and all, but why didn't you tell us about this place earlier? I thought your floor was just smaller than the other ones, but it turns out there was this huge opening right outside of your nest." Although, it makes sense. They can't produce honey and wax if there isn't anything to make it out of, but it just didn't occur to me before.

"You never asked. The wormhole to the next floor will be just behind the hive. Follow me." Fair enough.

"We're already following you, are we not? Where are we right now?" Blood barged into the conversation.

"Oh, you're up. This is the outside of the hive. Turns out there was more to this floor that we thought." We went around the corner and a wormhole was before us. It was on the wall rather than the ceiling this time.

"Let's get going already. We've spent enough time doing random stuff in the dungeon." My initial plan was to quickly clear the dungeon and leave with a high level, but this whole journey ended up lasting so long.

"Yer." Blood extended my hand and pulled me through the wormhole, Tetra following right behind.

Hey, I remember seeing this room before. This floor looks exactly like floor 4 - an empty white room, only this time it was larger, and instead of two Mimics filling the space, there was a metal rod pointing out from the ground.

We looked around the room first, in case there was something we could have missed, but, finding nothing of interest, we came towards the rod.

After staring at it for a while, I started getting suspicious that this was just a normal piece of metal, but when I touched it, something finally happened.

"My congratulations! You beat the last boss in the dungeon, and will, therefore, be presented with a challenge. Your reward will depend on the level of performance." A mechanical voice rung in my head.

"Do you guys hear it too?" I asked.

"Hear what?" I guess it's just me, then.

"Every other participant of the raid will be moved to a different room until the challenge is over. Starting in three.. two.. one.." As the countdown ended, Tetra and Blood disappeared from the room, and the voice spoke to me again.

"What kind of bot is this? Works like crap, and I can't even ask any questions. Ah, whatever." I was irritated by the mechanical voice, but decided to attempt beating the challenge anyway; the reward might be worth it.

"Question one! How did you get into the Dump." So it's just a questionnaire? I wanted to try out my new skills, but I guess not today.

"I activated the portal to the Dump on my own, though I was sent to it by the princess and a retired hero." I answered shortly. I doubt there is a need to explain all the minor details.

"Question two! What reason did you have for beating this dungeon?" The voice continued.

"I don't wanna die. If you're being sent here, then you are definitely the kind who wants to live and do shit. That's just a dumb question, isn't it?" What is even the point of these questions?

"Question.. Three! You and your companion are in a dangerous situation. Do you help him or think about yourself?" Even though the voice sounds mechanical, it seems like a real person voiced the lines which the bot has to say.

"I help him if I can, but if it's a matter of life or death, I'd rather live and leave my companion to die." This was also an easy question. In all cases, I'd always chose the [live] option, even if a few peeps die along the way.

"The fourth question is up! Reply to this one with a [yes] or [no].?" The robotic voice sounded excited.

"And.. what's the question?"

"Will you commit the crimes you've committed to get sent here again?" Simple, but it's got one thing wrong.

"I didn't commit any big crime to get here in the first place.. I just fought for my own survival, plus I didn't want to get brainwashed by the princess." I replied to each question truthfully.

"The fifth and last question." The excited robotic voice changed to a more serious tone.

"How bad was your experience in the Dump?"

A few more chapters and "the Dump" arc - or volume, whatever you call it - will end. I've got so much more stuff planned, can't wait to write it all.

I hope you enjoyed.
