An obstacle - something you clear (Pt. 1)

"How bad was your experience in the Dump?" Is this a trick question of some sort? Ah, I can't be bothered to think about it.

"What do you mean, bad? I had a great time. Got to level up a bunch, and fought some pretty epic bosses. I wouldn't find those anywhere else, right? Yeah, my experience at the dump was fantastic. Ten outta ten would visit again." Now that the questionnaire is done, I wonder what kind of reward I'll get.

Tetra appeared back in the room all of a sudden, and Blood was also back on my hand. The metal rod, which was sticking out from the floor, retracted into the ground.

"Damn humans.. I knew I couldn't trust a mere human to run the dungeon for me but to think he would die before even getting to fight you.." A voice echoed throughout the room, sending chills down my spine.

"So the human wasn't the real last boss? I thought so. It made no sense; the whole dungeon was run by the "boss" race, and the last and supposedly couldn't be a human." I said everything out loud to pull some time.

"Frantically searching the room won't help you. No matter how much time you have, you won't find me. I'm too fast for you to see me." The creature was confident in its abilities.

"Oh, so your trick to being unnoticed is just speed? Hehe, in that case, I have nothing to worry about." I focused on the entire room at once.

Behind me. The creature was preparing to strike me from behind. I blocked his attack with a manipulator.

"How? You got quite lucky, bug. I was planning to chop your head off with this strike." Does he think this is luck?

Luck has no strength over sheer power.

He dashed around the room, waiting for the perfect time to strike me. I won't be able to catch him like this.

With a thump on the ground, I took off into the air and grabbed onto the ceiling. He followed right behind, but, using [devastating attack], I pulled myself right back to the ground in an instant.

He wasn't able to jump right back to me quickly enough, and I used that time to slash at him with all four manipulators. I aimed for his head with a blood blade, but he dodged it in time.

"Hoh, a mere human managed to cut off four of my wings? Impressive, I must say. But, did you really think this was as much speed as I could put out?" He smiled, and 6 more wings grew out of his back.

He was a demon. A demonic creature with a human-like body, four horns, a tail, and many wings on his back.

He charged at me with twice the speed, avoiding all the manipulators I sent out at him mid-air. I lunged forward, extending Blood out to grab the demon behind me.

Gripping onto his hand, I pulled him up and used another [devastating attack]. The impact sent me flying back, his hand torn off and in my hand.

"How'd you like that? Your speed doesn't work against tactics, you braindead demon." I taunted him.

"Ahaha, nice try." He gave me a condescending look as a new hand grew back.

"Regeneration, huh?" In that case, I just have to hunt him more times.

I ran towards him, and as he took a swing at my head, I slid between his legs. On my way, I grabbed both of them, causing him to fall to the ground face first.

In one slice, I cut off all of his wings and got on his back. A manipulator in my left hand and a blood blade in my right, I started slashing away at his back, cutting his head off in the process. Suddenly, a single wing sprung from his back, sending me flying into the ceiling.

His head attached back to the body, and 9 more wings grew on his back.

"Looks like I'm not strong enough to take you down the normal way, human. Luckily, you failed the questionnaire horribly. You can only blame yourself for getting all five answers wrong. [Test failure punishment], [activate]." After saying the command, he smirked.

The sound of gears, followed by a click; the result was hundreds of metal poles emerging from the walls.

"What now?" These rods must have something special about them. The demon's smug smile suggested so.

"I suggest you get some assistance from your slave. You have no chance of survival on your own." He laughed at me again.

"Nah, she'll just get in the way." I can beat him with just the help of Blood.

The Dump's FINAL fight. As you may have noticed, bosses always get an advantage from the environment of their floor, just like this time.

How do you think he'll use those rods? Well, you won't have to wait long to find out - the next chapter is just around the corner.
